Really hoping there will be an unlocked framerate and at least some really easy to navigate files so modders have an easier time. 1 and a quarter years of waiting. Let's hope this was worth it (also hoping for PC sales to be high so R* will consider making PC a higher priority).
Oh my god it's not just a shitty camera parent, it's a real life fucking FPS mode!
I wonder if the police chase mechanics have been improved, anybody ever wished for Driver style police chases?

Also worth mentioning the radar color scheme has been changed to the style of GTA IV's so it's easier to look at. And to the people asking about the cover system, this is from the IGN article/interview. Oh and, the video description confirms a new first person cover mechanic.
t’s also an extremely flexible and adaptable first-person experience. Off the bat, it retains the standard GTA 5 control scheme, but you can select from a variety of preconfigured control schemes so it feels more like a standard shooter. In fact, you can customise the experience a lot – you can vary the degree of aim assist, turn off ragdolling and the combat roll (after all, it might make some a bit queasy), and decide whether the game switches to third-person when taking cover. It’s versatile, too: it can be a full-on first-person experience, the same third-person experience you know, or a hybrid of the two.

Available in both GTAV and GTA Online, we've made a host of changes to accommodate this new perspective, including the creation of an optional first person cover system, ...
Absolutely fucking fantastic. They just made themselves $60.
They've really gone above and beyond in making FPS fit in their game. I'm really really excited. Now if only we had heists fleshed out.
I tried the PS3 version that won't have this feature and GTA V played awful in third person; this looks much more enjoyable. I'm glad.
Hope first person mode includes camera shaking uncontrollably at random intervals when playing Trevor.
What if we heard random voices when playing him in first person mode? Maybe even some small 4th wall breaking joke like him mumbling about hearing keyboard buttons being pressed from time to time.
Buy buy buy! So much hype, I'm fucking getting this even if it kills me.
I now approve of the delays And look it, all the gauges work in the cars and aircraft. Eeeeee
Iv never been this excited about a game iv already played before, holy shit its amazing
I wonder if the police chase mechanics have been improved, anybody ever wished for Driver style police chases?
So much, so so much. Driver and NFS had the best police chases and I always wished GTA would do something like that as well.
the hype is fucking real

First-person blowjobs eyyy
I wonder if they'll fix the bullshit cop AI and make the multiplayer less awful.
Some new stuff I noticed: The screen on Trevor's phone is cracked. Pretty much all of the weapons have been re-modelled in higher fidelity. Franklin throws a grenade whilst still holding his rifle (grenade button). When wearing the diving suit there's a mask overlay and you can hear Michael breathing. Imponte Dukes sat at a traffic light at 2:25. Player character appears to be wearing a flight helmet at 2:26 (see shadow) with appropriate screen overlay. Excellent. Now we just need someone to mod the turbulence out of the flight model so planes and helicopters don't feel like crap, fix the car handling and give it a lick of ENB and we're good.
I don't think that's a Dukes but it's definitely a new car. Looks more like a Cutlass/442 than a Charger.
First person Rhino Rampage.
I always had a funny feeling the delay was for them to say sorry to the PC for the long wait
I didn't really enjoy it that much when I played it on console (please don't nail me to a burning cross), but the new perspective looks slick. Might consider buying it just for that.

But this shit right here is what gets me: (alternative image) I heard there was a Panzer II sunken in GTAV and I tried to find it on my friend's xbox, ran into this shit instead and ended up surfacing ASAP. Didn't find Panzer II, didn't want to go back down there.
Adding first person mode is the best thing they could do to make people who bought it for prev. gen consoles (like me) to buy it again. Can't wait to buy PC version. I really hope R9 290 will be enough for 1080p 60fps on high settings.
I wonder what the first person tank will look like.
Actually replaying the game in a different perspective might just convince me to buy it again. [editline]4th November 2014[/editline] With the head movement, I wonder if it'll support TrackIR.
