Wow, mega pissed. Fuck.
So who's with me on the Class Action lawsuit?
RTW, sweet game, had fun with the 6 HOURS I PLAYED, prepare to get assfucked by the law.
Except they reserve the right to retire online services after 30 days notice, so you can't do fuck all.

€40 completely wasted.
Fuck. I bought this game when it came out and I decided I was gonna actually start playing it tomorrow and now I read this. I didn't even play it for more than an hour. :argh:
God damn it so true. I still have +40 of the 50 hours I got when I bought it.
They are handling this like assholes too... Other developers had the right mind to leave the forums open
and announce such a thing a few weeks prior to the end-date, they just terminated all contact with the customer
and said "we are sorry, you have wasted 50$", the least they could do is release the damn server.
looks like some gta ripoff lol
Man I'm glad I didn't buy this, played the beta and it didn't really interest me.
Glad I got refunded on my pre-order. They should at least release the server software for people who want to run private servers.
Yeah, they should. It's the least they can do for the people who ended up wasting 60 dollars on it.
Wow, i buy a game, it's laggy as shit because appearantly my processor that can run Farcry 2 on ultra high and Crysis on High, can't run APB. Then it gets shut down.... Great.
They better release servers for it, and maybe, release it for free.
I highly enjoyed the beta and spent well over 100 hours on it. :frown:
there goes the fucking muscle car i saved up to buy

Why would processor speed make any difference to your fps in games like this? It's not GTAIV.
Wow, already? I'm glad I didn't get into it that much and didn't buy any subscriptions, but it wasn't THAT bad. It had a fair few flaws, but so much potential. If a community got together to host new servers and fix it, it could be such an amazing game.
Are the servers still up? I would love to play it one last time.
Only thing that pisses me off about it is that they gladly took my $10 for 30 days worth of play just 14 days ago...They owe me $5!
Holy shit, like 4 months
2nd of July, about 2½ months.
Keep trying Britain, maybe eventually you will make a successful video game franchise. :britain:
Haha, fucking pay to play bullshit, serves the dumb ass company right.

Fable
Fable was alright. Thats's it.. alright. I can't even be bothered with the second one.
From what I heard Realtime had poured so much money into this and gotten so little out it bankrupted the business.

Fable is a brilliant series, brilliant. Don't forget black and white as well.

Probably because of their stupidly over priced pay to play system that put everyone off, and the fact it was crap.
Will the people who bought it get refunds?

No.

Its amazing how a company that greedy still managed to go bankrupt.
They charged $50 for the game
They charged $10/month to play it
They had ads on signs in the game
They were putting audio ads in the loading screens
They had 0 budget for customer service, apparently
And yet they couldn't even manage to break even. Jesus christ.
Wasn't it like 100,000 pre-order sales? So $5 million dollars before release they made, and still lost.

and over a 100 million in development.
and over a 100 million in development.
Well then they overpaid :)

quoting again because that's a very good read on what actually happened internally.
Oh man i can't believe it. This game had so much potential and i had a really fun time when it first was released. Granted i stopped playing after a couple weeks or so but i definatly think it had potential to be something good.
Sad to see it go!
that sucks
i thought it was pretty interesting but oh well
When you have 100 million dollars to make a game, devs tend to be blinded by the illusion they have already succeeded when in reality they have only been given a foundation to succeed.
This is the perfect example of that
