[img_thumb]http://www.freakingnews.com/Pictures/2/Kim-Jong-Il.jpg[/img_thumb] He gon kill us all
"No Dong" Missiles? Then what's that thing on the top?
US isn't the world.
Soldiers in most countries aren't paid particularly well below the rank of lieutenant.
US isn't the world, You are the world. We are the world. They are the world. Everything pretty self explainable without shitty confusion and obvious quote replies with trolling accusations. I don't say that US is only caring about themselves. I mean the government, not the country it is. Government, no country bashing, folks.
Apparently North Korea (Yesterday) Threatened to attack the US and South Korean warships that are doing the exercises
Apparently North Korea (Yesterday) Threatened to attack the US and South Korean warships that are doing the exercises
Oh dear, this should end well.
Apparently North Korea (Yesterday) Threatened to attack the US and South Korean warships that are doing the exercises
They said that last week.
They may engage in more brinkmanship, but there's no way they'll be launching any sort of full-scale invasion. While we all make jokes about the leader of Best Korea, he's not /that/ insane - he knows he'd never win a war. Really, the best NK can hope for is to eventually assimilate into a greater Korea with some measure of power and dignity left.
Communism is always best in practice only for those on top. It never ends very well and in this case: Even China doesn't really want to support North Korea any more (according to leaked US cables), so they don't have the support that they previously had during the Korean War. They know that if they fight a war, their military funding won't be able to support the military. They may have lots of people, but it's no use if they are (A): Not trained (B): Not taken care of (C): Not equipped with decent gear
Germany did, and the Red Army still fucked them up.
Germany lost aswell to the harsh winter they weren't used to, now that factor isn't in korea. Aswell as a technologic gap of 50-40 years? You can (theoreticly) win a war by outranging the enemy wich seems obvious enough here.
come on NK, quit just sticking the tip in
I believe, even when their gear is outdated and people are starving, their military is still well trained, but they're still quite useless without proper equipment.
Plus an army that would make the Imperial Japanese cringe.
By the way, bodyguards =/= army Compare U.S. Secret Service and the standard army grunt. Secret Service agents usually have years of combat experience with possible special forces/CIA history and are the absolute elite, but there still aren't enough to make an army out of, now are there? They wouldn't be deployed to the field either, should a war break out.
U.S Armymen are hardly grunts.
http://www.yourdictionary.com/grunt "SLANG a U.S. infantryman, orig. in the war in Vietnam"
The US army itself is larger than the NK army, add on the SK army and any other nation that would come to their aid.
Too bad the Americans don't have magical teleporters and have to rely on RoRo ships that would take at least a month to deploy just one heavy Army division into the theater and 25 days to ship a division of light infantry from Hawaii. Until then, ROKA and the 2nd Infantry Division's heavy BCT are going to have fun in a future Korean meatgrinder.
Vietnam War...Korean War (1950's), Japan in WW2...need I continue?
Complete Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking.
http://www.yourdictionary.com/grunt "SLANG a U.S. infantryman, orig. in the war in Vietnam"
Ah, sorry. Thought it was being used in the sense of 'helpless person' etc.
Too bad the Americans don't have magical teleporters and have to rely on RoRo ships that would take at least a month to deploy just one heavy Army division into the theater and 25 days to ship a division of light infantry from Hawaii. If NK attacked then that would be the end of them. Hell I am pretty sure we could just bomb them into submission and our army could walk right on through. Also, it was in the other thread but there was a picture of a tribe trying to shoot arrows at a plane. It will basically be that.
I believe, even when their gear is outdated and people are starving, their military is still well trained, but they're still quite useless without proper equipment.
Please state your source.
you guys still forget that no matter how many tanks, planes, jeeps etc these guys actually have they can't fuel them all at once. they'll run out of gas and most of their mechanized army will be left abandoned.
Yeah, in WW2, the Japanese struggled with the idea that charging a machine gun was a bad idea. They also did numerous bonsai attacks and while they nearly reached their lines, every last one was slaughtered. The Korean war was pretty similar to WW2 Japan and in the times when the Vietnamese fought like a conventional army, they got slaughtered too. The only way they can be effective is if they are guerrillas, something that a large army CANNOT do.
Gee.. I wonder why America lost the Vietnam war, then.
Not true. Also you're an idiot.
Their nukes blow themselves up 40 seconds into flight
Gee.. I wonder why America lost the Vietnam war, then.
Lack of public support, lack of political support, lack of needed military support, low moral due to the previous 3, etc. We could have won it, it's just that nobody really wanted to, they wanted out instead.
WWIII
WWIII [img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/baba.png[/img_thumb]
Not a world war, just a war.
Not a world war, just a war.
Unless U.S. gets involved, then that might cause some more disputes, leading to even more nonsense.
Unless U.S. gets involved, then that might cause some more disputes, leading to even more nonsense.
Well America went to war with Afghanistan and it wasn't a "world war".
Unless U.S. gets involved, then that might cause some more disputes, leading to even more nonsense.
No, it'll just result in a quicker end for North Korea, saving lives by preventing a drawn-out, bloody war between just North and South.
Jesus it's not even November anymore. Baby vagina is not right.
