Why does Cruz look like he's about to roast my color coordination in my outfit
I'm not a fan of either of them and even I know who's gonna be getting mopped off the floor by the end of this.
unfortunately the debate will take place and no one in a position of power will give a flying fuck about the context another 4 years of more debates while the country severely tanks
It's not just about getting to the people in positions of power, otherwise they wouldn't televise it, they'd just have it privately. The point of a televised debate such as this is to clue the populace in as to what other options there may be, and how viable they are.
I wouldn't say that Bernie always is a slam dunk against opposition. I feel here that Sanders didn't really have a straight answer to someone who does small business and feels the brute force of regulations. Alot of what he said were just a repeat of the multi-national billion dollar company talking points. He will do fine against Ted Cruz probably though.
I don't know if the video you watched is the same as the one you linked, but he clearly states that some of the regulations the guy is talking about may be state or local, that the Obama administration gave tax cuts to small businesses, and that if there are regulations that serve no purpose ultimately they should be done away with.
Can someone American please tell me exactly what "9 PM ET/PT" means. I want to watch it but I don't understand how it can happen at 9 PM Eastern Time and Pacific Time at the same... time. I'm at GMT+2 and I'm lost.

Basically people on the west coast will be reading news about it before it airs in their time zone.
I also think it's cool that Cruz is debating as well. Despite disagreeing with his ideals, he's at the very least a calm individual
Why the fuck isn't Bernie our president right now whywhywhy
because "SOCIALISM IS BAD U FUCKIN COMMIE" ignorance and stubborn fools who don't want to change
I also think it's cool that Cruz is debating as well.
Why the fuck isn't Bernie our president right now whywhywhy
Both our government and a portion the american population didn't think and research before they acted.
because "SOCIALISM IS BAD U FUCKIN COMMIE" ignorance and stubborn fools who don't want to change
Also because he got shot in the ankle on the first super tuesday.
because "SOCIALISM IS BAD U FUCKIN COMMIE" ignorance and stubborn fools who don't want to change
Absolutely not. If people didn't want change, Hillary would've won massively. A significant number of people did want change, for good or bad which is why Trump won. Sanders got screwed over by a narrowminded establishment. Given the chance he would've won the election for the same reasons as Trump.

Given the chance he would've won the election for the same reasons as Trump.
Uh, Trump was defeated by Clinton in the national popular vote by almost 3 million votes. The only reason he "won" was because the Electoral College declared him the winner anyway and has the power to overrule the actual will of the people. Even so, Clinton was the preferred candidate between him and her by the majority of Americans who voted. That's why she won the popular vote by such a large number: 65,844,954 (48.2%) to his 62,979,879 (46.1%). Just wanted to point that out. I keep hearing people claim that "<reason> IS WHY TRUMP WON", like they have all the answers or something, when they ignore the very simple fact that it was the Electoral College that put him in despite the fact he was defeated by almost 3 million votes. There's no grand social commentary here, no "it was always in plain sight but I'm the only one who was smart enough to notice it" ace-in-the-hole, etc. Having said that, I understand your point: there were a lot of people who voted for him because they thought, "Well fuck it, he's not a career politician like Clinton. Maybe he'll change something." That's true. You're absolutely correct about that. I want people to remember though that he was not wanted by the majority of Americans compared to her, that's why he lost the popular vote so badly.
