Django wasn't a remake... Django is a character that's been in like 50 movies and literally only one of them is related to the original film. Naming his main character Django is just one of Tarantino's many homages to older cinema cos it was a really violent western as is Django Unchained.

there's only 2 official Django's, wasn't there some weird copyright thing that led to all the knockoffs?
Regardless, this isn't the 60s/70s anymore so naming your character Django means a lot more than those cash grabs did. But I agree, it's hardly a remake in anything more than an extremely rough semblance of theme
Yea, I'm not sure what it was but people really took advantage of it. Also I think I misunderstood you until now. You mean that people liked Django which was technically a loose remake, which this sounds like it will also be so we should give it credit? The director on for this is from what I hear very good, I heard universal acclaim for his film No, not heard about any of his other stuff but No was considered one of the best films of 2012 by a lot of people. So I doubt this'll be just another shitty remake.
yup, exactly what i'm saying
I doubt this is literally "Scarface except Mexican", it sounds like it's going to be a different and yet similar story, just like the Al Pacino one was to the original
