Whoops! North Dakota is nice! Just very flat..
You'll have three superchargers by end of 2015. Don't know when you'll have a showroom or service center but you can always order one online and they'll hand deliver it to you. (along with a guy that explains everything)
But, but muh north dakota

Also, that is defiantly awesome. I have been trying to convince my father into purchasing one for a family car, as he has always been interested in Tesla cars, but has been upset about the lack of chargers in the area. Hopefully the North Dakotan government offers tax breaks for anyone who puts up a charger, or owns a Tesla Model S! :D
A lot of their chargers are in the North (Sorry Canada).

By the end of the year you'll be able to go anywhere except North Dakota. But who wants to go to North Dakota anyway?
I would fucking love to take a roadtrip from Washington to Florida along that path. Plus the charging is free? Fuck yeah.
Now all I need is $75k.
Now I want to win the lottery so I can annoy the Tesla delivery guy.
Oh I think the cars are delivered to your nearest service station. You can either pick it up or have them deliver it to your home. Or if you want you can pick it up fresh from the factory and roadtrip it home.

corporations are people now, remember? supreme court said so :eng101:
Are we even run by people anymore?
we are actually run by llamas
They forgot to add a slider on their website for how much mileage gets reduced by giant aftermarket sound systems.......
I'm not going to lie, they do look cool, and this looks like a future I can be pleased with (pls no prius). I just don't think I'll ever get rid of my muscle/pony cars. However, if I ever do get a wife, she will most likely have one if all goes well with Tesla. I'm still skeptical about how the company is going to handle upgrades, warranty, repairs, etc.... But only time will tell that.
Now I'm mad.
isn't that a bitch, stupid luxury cars.
It's not that it's a luxury car, it's the long-fought war against electric vehicles because the big car manufacturers see it as a potential threat to their market, and they have their fingers in a lot of pies.
Tesla is looking better every day...
Now hurry up and get the cost of batteries down so you can make something I can actually afford! I assume that's why they are so expensive?
Also, I never understood why CEOs think it's better to try to destroy a new technology that takes away their market share instead of opening a new sector of their own. It's not like they don't have the resources to make a good electric vehicle. It seems like with all the analysis they have access to, they should see the writing on the wall about the future of electric vehicles, and want to get in as early as possible.
I hope when Tesla gets their battery factory running, they can make a true economy car for the masses.
I don't mean the third-generation one they're planning, that car is not for poor people. I want a Tesla with the pricetag of a Kia. Maybe by then the good people of New Jersey will have ousted that fat fuck of a governor and replaced him with somebody who isn't corrupt and/or retarded.
I can get planes, boats, computers, many other things built to order direct from manufacturers. Why not cars?
Regulations shouldn't be used to prop up businesses that fail to compete. If you cannot compete fairly, you should be allowed to fail.

Because the middle man has a lot of money and he's not about to be cut out without a fight.
All this arguing about electric vs. internal combustion, and here I am thinking about how to make a practical steam-powered car. :/
I just want an electric muscle car. A Dodge Challenger with an electric battery, hnggg.
Half the fun of that kind of car is the sound and feel of the engine, without that its just a really heavy car that looks cool

Have it run off of tea
Have it run off of tea
Why not have it MAKE tea instead? I can imagine leaves not being good for a heat-exchanger.

Given how we generate most of our electricity, EVs are kind of steam powered
Electric cars are fucking awesome! but losing the ability of improving an engine is going to be a sad loss.
The folks that are against electric cars for this reason are silly and don't understand the full picture; What would you prefer, a hobby or a clean environment?
Given how we generate most of our electricity, EVs are kind of steam powered
Steam-powered vehicles also share the advantage of having pretty much all their torque as soon as they start moving.
Not allowing manufacturers to sell directly to customers doesn't make sense to me at all.
It might make at least a teaspoon of sense if we also didn't live in a country where dealerships mean you get the runaround via foursquare and other bullshit sales methods. They're goddamn sneaky, and it's shitty.

Sadly, a lot would choose their hobby.
Tesla needs to find a better guard technology so the warranty doesn't void at -40, Scandinavians, Canadians, and northern US markets are basically totaled if that becomes widespread.
