Im guessing you dont have charter out there?
Nope, only other ISP out here is Comcast. I use Comcast now though, customer support sucks but the internet only drops in the wee hours of the morning when I'm not typically on anyways, but I get ~36/12 which isn't bad, but we do pay $85/month for it
Not like any of the broadband companies are in direct competition with each others, so I doubt I'll be seeing any improvements in my TWC/Verizon controlled area.
I live like 10 minutes outside of Jacksonville and I feel like its going to bite me in the ass. That being said at&t here drops your connection every 30 minutes for 2-3 minute periods and lands you with a new IP every time
ISPs be like "Built in DOS protection"....
Nah, but seriously, my buddy has ATT like we do, and his would drop out frequently as well. It turned out that the ground wire on their box was barely attached. They secured it and it didn't drop out since....
A school I went to technically had gigabit internet where the city citizens didn't. It was nice.
I like 10 minutes out of the largest city in the US (NYC), how the fuck do we still not have gigabit D:
I live 10 minutes out of Austin and I don't have gigabit. Only provider I can get is TWC, despite at least 3 gigabit providers a few miles from me.
fuck you.
Sincerely, Philadelphia
