protip: Muslims like pigs, and can't eat them
that's your punishment for eating a fowl animal
Bacon doesn't come from birds you dummy
This is a hate crime? Ok...
Well, what other motivation would somebody have to conveniently place piles of glorious, delicious genuine Canadian bacon at the doorstep of a mosque.. gee I wonder. This shit isn't accepted in Canada, Canada is the supposed to be accepting of all people no matter what. We even take in convicted terrorists just because they're Canadian, and that's probably why this happened.
I really do wish someday, somebody leaves me a pile of fresh bacon on my doorstep. I don't think an investigation is necessary, considering whoever wasted the bacon is a bastard, and insulted the non Muslim world by wasting a valuable source of nutrition and happiness.

Perhaps you should ban bacon all together, eh? who knows, people might find it offensive at all.
infact, what difference is there between finding bacon after you've had a bbq or finding it randomly in the street, to finding it in a supermall?
im digging the architecture in that picture.

It was obviously intended to be offensive, if it was my doorstep I'd throw it onto a frying pan right away.
Suddenly non-muslims use the "I'm a Muslim tactics" to get free pork and bacon. Well this crime is probably done by an immature 15 year old teen who has no friends.

how can you prove that? what if i accidentally leave behind bacon after ive had a BBQ or anything like that? is it also a hate crime?
the muslims that get so offended at every little thing involving their sect have to grow some fucking balls, just like christianity and, for the most part, judaism did. tough shit if they dont like it.
Haha oh man I live like 10 minutes away from this place. It's a small city I wonder if it's someone I know.

Because nobody leaves bacon behind in Canada.
Because nobody leaves bacon behind in Canada.
they still need to grow some balls and deal with it like the rest of the religions do.
there isnt a single person whos gonna give a crap if i paint a cross upsidedown infront of a church; or any stupid shit like that. so, why should they get special treatment?
I haven't had bacon in a year.
Think I they would share some they've gotten?

If you did that in Canada I'm pretty sure people would give a crap. I don't think you read the article either, they asked for the person to come in and learn more about Islam.. they didn't riot in metro Vancouver over it. In comparison people were more pissed when the canucks lost then when this shit happens, so I think you're overreacting in comparison to what they did.

I think youre missing the point here; its being investigated as a hate crime. If I spray painted a cross upisidedown infront of my local church, none would care. if I left some bacon outside of a mosque, though? its obviously a hate crime commited by far right extremists who wants to kill anyone who isnt a christian and votes for Mitt Romney. Had they just made an article about it, and even that is stretching it because theyre just butthurt, I wouldnt have cared.
And for the record; id be just as pissed off at butthurt morons if these were christian people, jewish people etc that were put in to some form of mild discomfort and it was branded as a hate crime. its fucking stupid to have something as trivial as this instantly be attributed to, as such.

no.. it would be a hate crime. I don't think you've properly studied Canada.
no.. it would be a hate crime. I don't think you've been to Canada.
then obviously, the laws have gone too far. whats next? a muslim/jew/christian complaining about pork in a supermarket? you have to draw the line somewhere.
the fact that this has caused absolutely no phyiscal, mental or so forth damage to anyone; or anything, merely goes on to prove this. just a bunch of butthurt morons using their religion to gain some attention. obviously only talking about those who actually take any offense to bacon being in a *GASP* public place. or existing at all. whatever.
Great, now they're doing to burn down Canada.

"And the pig, though it has a split hoof completely divided, does not chew the cud; it is unclean for you."
Religion should never tie into law. If the bacon didn't destroy their mosque or ruined property (spilt juices dont count unless they spend more than a hundred bucks to repair a floor), clean it up, be offended, move on with life. You didn't get physically or mentally hurt and you're not going to be emotionally traumatized because a pack of Maple Leaf bacon is on your front step, and no critical damage happened to their church. Goddamn people taking things seriously, it was probably some 13 year old who found something on the internet.

that's great i can shoot quotes from the bible too:
"Every moving thing that lives will be food for you" Genesis 9:3a
but lets step into the real world and ask ourselves how many Christians are against pork...

This is what I mean; I do not believe I could have put it any better than this. Just because some morons get butthurt over their religion say "omg no bacon" does not mean it should be passed into law; Does not mean that any investigation should be made, unless a clear threat of life or property has been made. though, i am fairly certain bacon merely being placed upon a building cannot ever caused such damage.

Indeed, so, why is it a hate crime if you place such edible product within muslims range, or their mosques?

Because Canadians don't like to offend people.
Everyoe shrugged this off as a hacknayed inconvenience including the muslims in the OP and everyone in this thread, probably even the authorieties who had a good laugh but were required to investigate by law and then the fox came and got his pants in a twist.

I think it's you who is missing the point. This is their culture and believe it or not people tend to take that kind of stuff very seriously to the point that they are willing to die over for their beliefs. Their religion is very strict and I don't mean this in a spiteful way but a lot of muslim people I have met are very naive to peoples words and actions. It's just because our cultures are completely different. What would seem as a joke to one person could be completely heinous to somebody else and could feel it as a personal attack. Maybe your local Christians would be able to handle your dumb little joke because they've lived here their whole lives, they know what to expect from people. If you were to do something like that in Iran or Afghanistan, somebody would shoot you in the head because that's their whole way of life you are disgracing. You're just completely ignorant and can't see anything from another persons point of view.
