Alcohol = Legal = More harmful Weed = Illegal = Less Harmful This world...
This post reminds of those shitty pics potheads share on facebook.
People have been smoking weed for thousands of years, it's a wild plant. It's not like it's been synthesized in a crack den out of chemicals
Alcohol = Legal = More harmful Weed = Illegal = Less Harmful This world...
Not sure why you're getting dumb bombed, it is ridiculous.
We've had a market in america for legally killing yourself since forever; really boggles my mind when you think about it. Honestly; I believe Nixon's war on drugs and the stigma created revolving around weed was one of the biggest reasons it isn't legalized across America today
At the 0:28 mark, is that the State Farm jingle?
Wow I thought this was from Indonesia or somewhere similiar. Was really surprised that you can get life in prison for cannabis in the USA, I mean what the hell? Can someone explain this? Is this like the three strikes law or whatever it's called? Life in Prison for Weed??
No, this is essentially charge stacking. Get convicted once - time gets added. Twice, thrice etc. The guy just got caught over and over and over until he reached so high.
sentence. sentence.
I think imprisonment for non-violent crimes such as marijuana possession need to stop.
Marijuana is not medicine until it's in the pill form or vaporized in working vaporizer imo, otherwise it can create more and sometimes worse symptoms compared to before you took the "medicine". Smoking causes lung problems, and often times, edibles are "overdosed" which leads to some crazy instances, though I'm almost positive there hasn't been a case of somebody actually dying from weed. Some get their stomach pumped or do some crazy shit, but not death.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/law-and-order/10606932/Mother-thought-to-be-first-woman-in-Britain-to-die-from-cannabis-poisoning.html I'm only really posting this because I'm a pedantic little shit and I can't help myself. I vaguely remember there being a thread for it here about a year ago.

Pot gives you lung cancer, how does nobody know this.
Pot gives you lung cancer, how does nobody know this.
There is not one case of lung cancer connected purely to smoking weed, and regardless, you don't need to smoke weed to get high, not to mention, we don't ban smoking so there's no argument to be had here at all along those lines.
Pot gives you lung cancer, how does nobody know this.
Smoking anything will give you carcinogens in the lungs. However the amount of marijuana you smoke vs how much tobacco you smoke is pretty immense difference.
It's absurd that someone can be in for life for owning something that's perfectly legal a few states over
Smoking anything will give you carcinogens in the lungs. However the amount of marijuana you smoke vs how much tobacco you smoke is pretty immense difference.
And vaping and edibles exist.
Not sure why you're getting dumb bombed, it is ridiculous.
It's a bad post not a bad opinion.
The government can literally tax anything it wants.
Not if you grow it in your backyard, which is also why Moonshine is illegal; because you can't tax a hillbilly in Kentucky who sells moonshine privately.
And vaping and edibles exist.
Hence why I italicized smoking.
Not if you grow it in your backyard, which is also why Moonshine is illegal; because you can't tax a hillbilly in Kentucky who sells moonshine privately.
You can fine them for growing the plants without the tax stamps/permits.
It's a bad post not a bad opinion.
How is it a bad post exactly?
They can pretty easily at any point between the seed to the smoke. You can have a tax stamp system for planting X number plants. Maybe $100 per plant per year? Would be a good way of getting money for it without taxing sales. Or you can have a tax on how much of it is sold by weight, allowing personal growers to get it for free/cheap, while commercial is more expensive. Or you can have a tax on end user small scale sales or derivative products. Want a pot brownie premade? Expect a tax on it. Want some thc vape juice? Expect a tax on it. They should go with the first one, it is probably the best solution to most problems. People won't make hidden grow-ops(too expensive to manage/maintain vs legal, as well as risks of being caught), and the government will get the money on a reasonably consistent basis. There is a tobacco tax after all.
Hell, a lot of states where it's illegal as fuck have marijuana tax stamps anyway. The intention is to create a new crime to get drug dealers with: not only are they charged with possession with intent to distribute, but failure to buy tax stamps too.
