People always complain how Twitch is shit but the alternatives aren't even comparable to it.
Even Google's YouTube Gaming flopped.
To which the only appropriate response is "Then I guess you're not a very good parent and should learn to be a better one."
I think this ban is stupid, but there should be some better way to stop kids from watching than that, because loads of popular and fun games are rated M with only mild adult content (usually)
Is it just me or does twitch seem to do a lot of shit as a knee jerk reaction most of the time?
People always complain how Twitch is shit but the alternatives aren't even comparable to it.

The issue is the major twitch streams are locked to twitch and an individual moving on their own is suicide, they all need to move to make a new platform take off
Anecdotal Evidence, but essentially one of my friends said this to me last year:
"It's totally a fetish game. A guy I follow on Tumblr, deleekgolo, was assisting yanderdev with assests, then left because yanderedev was being super creepy and gross about everything. Apparently he is into seeing teenage girls killing one another and also taking panty shots of underage girls and such"
And hey, I'm not stopping him from liking what he likes but it does come off as a bit creepy to me and thats why I don't exactly support the game.
well itd be a bit weird if the whole point of the game (killing fellow students) wasnt actually a part of the game...
and panty shots have been a trope in anime forever, if anything blame japan for that. yeah panty shots in real life are in itself creepy, but it serves a legitimate purpose in the game. i dont see why just because that kinda stuff is in the game means the dev is into it either. and as far as i know nobody has an age actually given in the game so who's to say anybody is underage? they could all be 18
Fucking lmao took a list at the list.
Grezzo is banned?
go to hellllllll

oh secondlife too well that's somethin'
Trope or not, I find it just a little distasteful. And if I go by what my friend says (Who is generally right about stuff like this) it just gives me more reason to not support them.
And perhaps the vagueness behind the characters age played a part to this. Are they 16 or 18? It'd covering bases in case he one day decides that yes they are 16 - - so shit, now Twitch has explaining to do about hosting that kind of content.
I'd like more reason to believe anything your friend says other than "he's generally right".

I think you need more evidence other than "a friend maybe once told me" to start getting all PC over this. I haven't heard anything else other than your claims about Yanderedev.
[editline]23rd January 2016[/editline]
For all we know, Yanderedev was telling a joke and your friend took it the wrong way or something, if what he says is true. If the other people working with him had anything to say, your claim would have more credit.
They banned GREZZO 2
Of all things
Even the unreleased GREZZO 1
Unacceptable
I wonder what it would take to kill twitch and youtube tbh and have the market open up a bit regarding both, probably won't happen in the near future at least. The sooner the better.
Though more likely they'll just be replaced by another singular service. But you never know, social media nowadays is pretty diverse for example
I've heard some shit about YandereDev, I don't really remember what or where i heard it though. I really am not inclined to believe the rumors about YandereDev until they are confirmed.
I heard the same thing from multiple people who worked on the game project in the past. That YandereDev is a total creep and he tried to cover up a bunch of his past online presence because of the bad PR it'd bring. I can try and dig up the source on all of this once I'm off mobile.
All of this was enough turn me away completely from the game.
What does yandere mean? Sounds like a Latin infinitive, but Latin has no y
Except my facebook profile is private and It's not really a huge audience of friends to take this apart with.
If you need to verify it, seek deleekgolo. (If they even go by that handle today)
lets not turn this into a "he said she said" thing.
I will reserve any judgment unless I see something official. Its very easy to lie on the internet, and its certainly easy to accuse anyone working on a game such as yandresim for creepy stuff. I can just as easily go and start rumors that the devs of Hatred have fetishes for murder and have been caught physically harassing people but got away with it.

I agree. There were rumors that Hatred Devs were Nazis which were completely unfounded.
What does yandere mean? Sounds like a Latin infinitive, but Latin has no y
Nah, it's a japanese term. You can interpret it as someone who is murderously in love. It doesn't always involve murder, but just generally destructive actions such as kidnapping, manipulation, and whatnot.
The show "Mirai Nikki" pretty much has the textbook example of this if you're so inclined.
What does yandere mean? Sounds like a Latin infinitive, but Latin has no y
yanderu is japanese for being ill, deredere means "lovey dovey"
put them together and you get yandere, someone who is, literally, madly in love

i don't think twitch should have to explain anything
it's just a videogame
a lot of other games have pantyshots of underage characters, even TV shows
something I do not know is, is taking panty shots a mechanic of the game?
i don't think twitch should have to explain anything

It's because twitch is considered the main platform for streaming, and it's very valuable to have your game up on there and popular.
And also just general freedom, why not allow that kind of content, but stick a warning on it.

i mean that if they allowed the game they should not have to explain why, they would allow it because it's a videogame and that's what they do
it's not good that this game is banned, same with grezzo
Panty Shots: A certain character will perform important favors for you, if you send them photographs of girls’ panties. Panty shots will be like a “currency” that can buy favors and give you various advantages.
Eva really crossed the line when he let you see up the skirts of those girls you're murdering. Ban this sick filth.
Well okay then, don't believe me or my friend. You have every right to. All I can really give you is this to prove I'm not just pulling my friends quotes from my ass.

I suggest seek out deleekgolo and ask of their experience with the dev. I don't follow them nor do I own a tumblr account anymore.
[editline]23rd January 2016[/editline]
Oh and again, their game has every right to exist. Just making sure everyone gets that.
Yes those are from yandere simulator. I used to work on it for a while as a 3d artist until I found out some things about yandere dev(evaxephon) and decided to leave. Some other discomforts happened involving the direction of the game as well. A lot of my stuff is still in the game(I allowed him to continue using it).

Oh yeah and more drama if you want a good read.
edit:
and my opinion on the subject, I could care less about yandere dev's colorful history, twitch not providing a reason for banning a game is still stupid

Interesting read.
The thing is that it's been only one volunteer that complained though. I have a bias in favor of YandereDev but I would separate his past internet life from his game. He has no history of scamming from what I see, his controversies stem from drama. He seems dedicated to the game and that's what matters most.
i'd like to see a high profile game get banned so that twitch can have a lawsuit and drop the list
streaming is a huge part in raising awareness of indie titles
a massively public service arbitrarily blacklisting titles is unacceptable
Twitch is a private service. A lawsuit would have no ground to stand on.

This pretty much sums up our morals
Eva really crossed the line when he let you see up the skirts of those girls you're murdering. Ban this sick filth.
Someone mentioned that taking pictures of panties is a mechanic, but i assume it's just when they are alive
games should never ever under any circumstance be considered terrible because of moral reasons as long as everything is kept virtual, if this was the case in the past we would have never had mortal kombat or postal.
Trading panty shots for favors with some skeezy character is funny to me. Is it any worse than EROTIC pictures in dead rising?

Congrats on finding it distasteful. Congrats on thinking the author is a creep based on something that is pretty flimsy.
How exactly does that play into deserving a ban?

This is just a guess but I am willing to bet this is also a thing in every other school romantic VN.
I, too, base my video game preferences on the rumor mill.
