It's understandable that if you're creeped out by the developer or dislike them you might not want to support them.
I doubt any of that has to do with the Twitch banning though? Unless Twitch released a statement that the ban is because of the developer I'm going to assume it's because of the game.
a tl;dr of all 3 of them
i fucked up sorry
im not a pedophile i just found this underage girl attractive and she said she was 18 and she kinda looked like it so...
i treat my volunteers like they're disposable because i am disposable
i don't particularly care either way, if the game ends up being good it'll be good but if the dude's a creep there sure is a lot to show for it.
but how can a guy making a video game with nude schoolgirls and murder be a creep??
i just want a new hitman style assassination game that isn't garbage, why does all this shit about the dev even matter
a video game is a video game
If you dismiss games due to a dev being weird, you're not gonna play that many games :v:
Fun fact: Chun-li's thighs are huge because her original character designer was dead-set on having his favorite fetish in the game.

We all salute him to this day.
I don't get why people are up in arms about this. I don't understand the appeal of someone else streaming what essentially amounts to a softcore porn game. There are sites elsewhere to go fap to little kids.
"but muh censorship"
Twitch is a private company and a private service. Your right to stream on it is given by their express permission only. If they want to restrict something, they can without running afoul of free speech laws.
Here's what the 1st Amendment says about free speech and censorship:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Note this says Congress. Twitch is a private service and can legally tell you to go pound sand despite what a number of keyboard warriors might otherwise say.
Which is why posts like this one:
i'd like to see a high profile game get banned so that twitch can have a lawsuit and drop the list

In what fucking universe is that what this game is about?
Fun fact: Chun-li's thighs are huge because her original character designer was dead-set on having his favorite fetish in the game.
Hope nobody offended with this game watches any Tarantino films. Dude's a genius but he's a fuckin' creep.
[editline]24th January 2016[/editline]
This whole conversation is entirely beside the point. Dude is a creep therefore his game deserves to be banned. Doesn't really make sense in any context, nor is it relevant to the banning in any capacity.

What the fuck is this bullshit?

I take it you have no idea what this game is about. At all.
Like... you could have done a 5 second Google search, gone to the Wikipedia page, and seen this:

And you wouldn't have been caught spouting nonsense. Instead you had to pull shit out of your ass just to prove your point, making you look like a complete idiot.
This can be accomplished by the player via several methods such as murdering the individual, kidnapping them, socially sabotaging them to the point where they commit suicide, or make them fall in love with another student by playing as Cupid. If a player chooses to murder someone they must clean up any evidence (such as the murder weapon and your bloody clothes) and/or dispose of the body via an incinerator or dumpster on the school's grounds, and mop up the blood.
Yeah, not fucked up at all.
Good, Glad it's banned.
Yeah, not fucked up at all.
...Therefore people who are interested in it masturbate to it? Please elaborate.

You can kill hooker in GTA V and empty thousands magazines of bullets into her snatch.
The thing is can not must.

Nah, I think you should reread it, it clearly says twitch specifically is obligated to allow anything on its platform.
Or you're just having fun with strawmen while we're talking about freedom of speech as a cultural value, not the first amendment of the US constitution.

In GTA V killing hookers is never part of the game. Sure you can do it if you want to, but that's the nature of a sandbox, you can do almost anything.
In YS this stuff is required as part of the game. Your objective is to get rid of the other lovers, and that's how you do it.

Same with Hitman and that's not banned from streaming

Ok, we'll talk about freedom of speech as a cultural value. You go to Twitch and tell them they have to allow certain content on their platform because otherwise it would infringe on your cultural values, and see how far that gets you.

However, violently torturing someone is most certainly a required part of the game.
Yeah, not fucked up at all.
That's beyond the point, the game is not more fucked up than say GTA V.
Banning a game based on it being fucked up by whatever the standards of the time are is retarded, imagine if mortal kombat got banned.
Same with Hitman and that's not banned from streaming
Yeah, it's unfair, but you know what? Life is unfair.
Twitch is a private company. Their service is their own. Even "public" services like television and radio don't have to broadcast anything they don't want to and they're regulated by the government.
Ok, we'll talk about freedom of speech as a cultural value. You go to Twitch and tell them they have to allow certain content on their platform because otherwise it would infringe on your cultural values, and see how far that gets you.
Show me three posts saying twitch is absolutely obligated to do this. We're not holding a gun to their head, motherfucker, we are disagreeing with their business decision.

The thing is the game isn't even done yet and you can't win.
Aka killing people won't make you do the games objective because atm there isn't one, it is sandbox game atm and as you said they can do anything they want in them.
Ok, we'll talk about freedom of speech as a cultural value. You go to Twitch and tell them they have to allow certain content on their platform because otherwise it would infringe on your cultural values, and see how far that gets you.
No one ever said they have to, however the fact they banned the game is completely retarded.

You actually don't have to kill the rivals. You can get them expelled from school, spread rumors about them so that senpai won't want to date them, or get them involved with someone else instead.
Your only objective is to prevent someone else from dating your crush. Killing them to achieve that is entirely your choice.
The whole "You do/do not have to do it" argument is also a completely irrelevant point. It's whether or not the ban is justified based on the content that is possible to explore, not on what people might or might not explore.
This thread makes my head hurt.
I'll just leave my opinion on it here. Censorship of ANY kind is bad, people can differentiate the real world and a fantasy world. People who don't act morally in a fantasy world aren't murderers and psychopaths in the real world.
After reading about it I find it more to be erotica than anything else. This is under the grounds of why I think twitch banned it. Censorship is bad and shouldn't be done. Twich as a private company can do whatever it wants though unless it's illegal.

Please define erotica. I feel as though our definitions do not match.
