She then has to briefly go through creationism (in physics!) and is of course not required to apologize to anyone then. The interaction between religion and education is odd.

I went to a private Christian school and we had a lot of the same. Hell there's another FPer from the same school who was blatantly and openly atheist and most teachers loved him and gave him the floor to debate.

Where the fuck were they when I was in school?[/QUOTE] Religion teachers are such a mixed bag. 75% of my high school theology classes were taught by a very congenial man (think Chris Traeger from Parks and Rec), but he was very set in stone that "This is what was said in the bible, this is how you need to live." The theology teacher I had my senior year, on the other hand, was a brilliant guy all around. He was very into the historical aspects of religions and one of his big tenets for the year was you can disagree with the bible and it wasn't wrong.

If the girl was sent to see the administration and they gave the punishment, then it isn't just the teacher involved.
