Hamas is funded because they have power, what you guys don't understand is that you shouldn't look at this issue from a black & white point of view. How? I keep saying this over and fucking over again but people ignore it and attack the other paragraphs because they can't argue against it which is that Palestine is in a paradox. If they lay down their arms, Israel will simply continue their settlements and disregard any diplomatic actions by Palestine. From this, anger arises and of course due to civilian casualties comes out which Hamas uses it for propaganda purposes, and people are surprised why many in Palestine supports Hamas? Or why Hamas occupies some positions within their government? Abbas has already denounced Hamas and such, but that shit doesn't fucking matter because he has no power over Hamas in the public eye. Every time he tries to achieve statehood, you guys use the same fucking arguments all the time, "HUR DURR, TERRORISTS OCCUPY GOVERNMENT", then wonder why they don't have a competent government. Because no matter what they do, Israel will not accept Palestinian government or even see them as a state, then go 'WE TRIED ALL PEACEFUL OPTION' when they didn't. So what is Palestine supposed to do then? Hamas shows their people that their tactics work; settlements and blockade continues so they attack Israel to save their sovereignty, retaliation happens, massive civilian casualties, public relations pressure Israel to concede something, and Hamas throws a confetti saying their tactics worked. What about government or diplomatic options? All they can say is "UH, WE SENT A STRONG LETTER TO ISRAEL DENOUNCING THEM". Why the fuck would Hamas stop bombing and people stop supporting Hamas when you don't even try support Palestine having a legitimate government?

Seriously, the biggest problem with this issue is that you people put all of this into false dichotomy. It's either you see Hamas a valiant freedom fighters or scumbag terrorists. It's either you see Israel as a shining white knight nation defending itself or evil fascist country. Maybe you guys need to see it that way, there are some that actually tries to maintain an objective and pragmatic approach:
a) Accept the fact that Hamas is not some small terrorist cell, they're a large group that has representation within the Palestinian Government, whether they're scumbags or not.
b) An alternative option has to be given to Palestine, a legitimate one that actually has negotiation power such as giving them statehood to tell the Palestinian people that there are diplomatic options instead of risking bloodshed.
c) Violence will not ever stop, at least not for a while. Too much bloodshed has been shed and hatred filled up to stop all total violence.
d) Accept the fact that a non-corrupt Palestinian government that doesn't have Hamas member being a total idealistic and kiddish pipedream. But accept the fact that verbal diplomacy is still preferred to violence.
e) Giving diplomatic power to the government and showing proof that they work will lessen the more bloodthirsty fucker's powers. If they have the opportunity to stop settlements and loosen the blockade by talking & without their houses being blown up, it's more likely they'll take it.
