I'm not sure I fully understand. Is the jailbreak safe to use?

As safe as something that slides a piracy app store and starts broadcasting data back to a dead server constantly (according to a poster in this thread, at least) is going to be.
Who knows what else is going in there.
Why are so many jailbreakers suddenly leaving because of this?
I jailbroke about 5 hours ago and as soon as I went to the reddit, I restored. there really is no reason to jailbreak yet

This is what the site was before it was taken down. I mean the site that was getting private data from Chinese iPhones
It's safe to use but if your language is set to Chinese you get a pirate app store
Even better!

Well, that was quick.
Of course the time I decide to get over my fear to jailbreak my iPad because it might be bricked, it sends your data to some Chinese company.
Thank god I didn't go through with it.
I'll probably wait until this manages to get more stable before I throw it on my phone. Guess I'll keep it on iOS 7.0.3 until then.
I'm currently running the 7.1 beta at the moment so there isn't that much I could be doing anyway. This release just looks like a mess
The only thing I've ever want a jailbreak for is f.lux, but that's just not enough to justify that. Honestly at this point in time vanilla iOS is pretty good and not in dire need of jailbreak tweaks imo

I'm pretty sure 7.0.4 was deemed safe to update to. If I was you i'd update to 0.4 because when they release 7.0.5 or whatever version is next, and it's not compatible with current jailbreak, then you're stuck with 7.0.3.
Meanwhile, I still have my iPod Touch 2G running 4.2.1 + greenp0ison jailbreak.
:suicide:

2G iPods were the best

It's incredibly slow and unstable with modern apps now, unfortunately. Launching supposedly compatible apps results in crashes 95% of the time, and there are virtually zero apps on the appstore that can be installed - they all require the latest version of iOS.
I can't even use safari on my 2g Ipod touch anymore. It just instantly crashes.
Its worth noting this Jailbreak also doesn't work on iPad 2 wi-fi models. So far no one, including myself, have managed to get it to boot. It seems to fail towards the end of the process. DFU mode and a restore fixes, but there is no way to jailbreak for us at the time it seems.
I have this jailbreak currently running on my iOS 7.0.4 iPhone 5, and it has worked perfectly so far. I have no chinese appstore, and I'm not stuck in a boot loop (though I have heard that's been happening). Only problem is most of the cydia tweaks are not yet compatible with iOS 7, just because no one saw this coming.
Aparantly people say it's still talking to a Chinese server even without the TaiG installed.

This didn't get any response from the devs on the reddit thread. I'd say hold off on this for now it looks pretty shady so far.
Who the fuck releases a jailbreak in the middle of a beta release? Ugh. These fucking idiots potentially jeopardized having a jailbreak for the final release of 7.1 just because they "wanna be first."
Not interested in this fishy crap, I'll pass.
Pretty much every single major jailbreak release has been like that, specially from geohot
Released during a beta? I don't think so. They've always waited until the final release. Apple are way too quick to plug exploits, and they most definitely will with this one.
An iPhone seems pretty useless without it's jailbreak. It's like a phone which only wants to be a phone but can do plenty of other things it just doesn't want you to unless a program comes along and changes everything. I don't know how Apple lets so many people rely on these 3rd party programs to make their phones half decent. Why doesn't Apple just let people who spend a ridiculous amount of money on their products let them choose their own ringtone.

you can??

I was talking about when they used to run on iOS 2 and iOS 3, the apps designed for those OSes were amazing, the device for its time was incredibly fast and had great battery, now its just shit because apple fucked it with iOS4 and it was too old for anything else

Ah, I agree. During its time, it was the device to have honestly.
My 1st gen iPod Touch on 2.2.1 says fuck you all and go to hell too. (Because it's utterly relegated to history now.) :v:
isios7jailbrokenyet.com is fucking retarded because if you make your jailbreak opensource apple is gonna patch the exploits even faster than usual
I just want my freaking SBSettings and themes, but this sounds and seems way too fishy to actually try at the moment.
Quick question though, I'm hanging out around 6.1.4 because I didn't want to commit to ios 7 just yet. Should I update before they roll 7.1 so at least I'll have a better chance of having a working jb?
I'm still Jailbreaked since I never moved over to iOS 7.
And now there are several apps in the app store that requires iOS 7 for no reason.
The last iPhone I had was the 3g, and I remember iOS 4.0 completely killed my phone in terms of speed. I jailbroke it back then just to get wallpapers on my home screen since the 3G didn't support it in the update, which was pretty stupid in my opinion.
I never dove into it too much, just some small things here and there to help me, like a WiFi password app or getting a task manager. I bought myself an iPhone 5s for Christmas, so I'm more than happy to wait for a more reliable build.
Not like I can use the phone yet anyway, still waiting for a nano sim to activate the bugger, which I doubt I'll get until after Christmas.
