Not necessarily. They're marketing it as a fully featured PC, which it is - it's running the next version of windows. An iPad is more like a toy, you need another computer as it can't really perform all the basic tasks you need a computer to do, whereas this can. I'm not disagreeing that it would be a good idea to price this so that there would be no good reason to get an iPad instead, but it definitely seems like it's worth more than an iPad.

I'd say it's a bit early - no pricing yet. Besides, this is a full-fledged OS, so comparing it to the iPad is not a very good idea. Or Android, for that matter.

If you're getting the Pro (read:intel, RT is the ARM one) you can play any game you have on your computer now. You can check the windows 8 compatibility list in the windows forum to see what games are already being played on the windows 8 previews, but all of them should work really.
