Brooklyn = 96.sq miles not allot. So some people would of died
It would've had the force larger than your average nuclear bomb.
Micheal Bay would have recorded the impact then put it in Transformers 3.
Micheal Bay would have recorded the impact then put it in Transformers 3.
Hahahahahah. So true.
"Has the meteor really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
Wait, I've heard of this asteroid before. This is the one that freaked out NASA and was supposedly one of the 2012 disasters, oh well. We can finally rest our minds about this 2012 business.
Who fucking believes this 2012 bullshit?
The Mayan calender LIES... Also, thread title doesn't make sense
That's a rock.
no, it's a pizza.
Why is it that the source says big enough to annihilate brooklyn, but OP says all of us? Is he assuming that everyone on Facepunch is situated in Brooklyn? Or is a 4 kiloton explosion enough to destroy the surface of earth?
4 kilotons is smaller than the hiroshima bomb, so no 4 kilton won't destory the earth.

Maybe I thought the asteroid crashed on the mountain up ahead of our house. Since it's now in flames due to a bushfire. :tinfoil:
Facepunch is sceptic central.
I remember NASA said something about nuking one of these things. They said it would help if the bomb was strong enough to blow it apart, but it would still cause a lot of damage because of all the pieces flying towards the earth.
4kt? The Hiroshima bomb was 20kt.
AGHH! It's not a meteor dammit. A meteor is anything that is currently in our atmosphere, when it lands it's a meteorite, and if it's in space it's a comet/asteroid. GET IT RIGHT. :science:
Incorrect. If it is in space it's a meteoroid. :science:
Pffft. 4 Kilotons is nothing in the grand scheme of things. If it hit a population center there'd be a problem, that's about it.

I don't remember where I heard this, but they're claiming that everyone is wrong about 2012.
