Hair Style?!
His Cranium weirds me out every time I see it.
That's not to say he's a bad person that is.

It's not thaaaat bad.
I think Matt Smith is a good Doctor, the writers just go 'HE'S WACKY, HE DOESN'T NEED ANY CHARACTER BEYOND THAT' and as such he's two-dimensional.
If I had to pick an episode that nailed his character, it would be The Slow Invasion, or whatever it's called. The one with the cubes. Sure, it needed to be a two parter so the plot is rushed in the last ten minutes, but it's otherwise great.

That is bad.
It looks more like somebody dressed up as Matt Smith than Matt Smith.

I had a lecturer who hated Doctor Who since Tennant left. He wrote academic books and journals on Doctor Who his whole life and even met Moffat in a pub once in 2004 before the show came back (they were both academic Doctor Who critics).
When I told him I was doing my essay on Culture and Doctor Who his response was "Matt Smith has a head like a potato and Moffats Who has no emotion or dimensions. Poorly written".
We disagreed. We argued. I wrote it into my essay. He marked it. I got an A. I win.
To be honest, Tennant in the episodes written by Moffat was similar, character wise, to Smith's doctor. Like he becomes more of a motor mouth, more eccentric and more prone to babbling.
I like Matt Smith, apart from the last series earlier this year, which just felt rushed.

I have to agree with your lecturer. I have lost so much of my love for Doctor Who because of Moffat. He's made it too wacky and tried to be different at the expense of actual plot. I'm okay with Smith though, although my favourite doctor was Eccleston.
Doctor who needs to become more darker, needs some MAN in him.
I've actually never seen a single episode of this show.

Aren't like, a huge amount of the old Who episodes missing forever?
Aren't like, a huge amount of the old Who episodes missing forever?
Some, but not alot
I like him more than the new one
watched it when it first came on again, the new one is too much of a hipster for my tastes
tennant runs shit
Some, but not alot
I don't know about you, but I consider over 100 missing episodes to be quite a lot.
Great now bring back Jack.
imho Eccleston was too angry and anti-heroic, and now this new guy whose name I keep forgetting is too eccentric and cheery. Tennant struck a really good balance between the two.
Eccleston was supposed to be like that because he was basically a traumatized war veteran [sp]who not only destroyed the entire Dalek fleet, but also his entire species along with his homeworld.[/sp]
The man has seen some shit.
Maybe they'll have a writer who won't make him collapse into a hapless depressed ball every fifteen minutes.

That's almost entirely the run of the first two Doctors. The adventures of Three through Seven (& the TV Movie the Eight Doctor had) are complete and ready for viewing.
The Five Doctors 2.0
Excellent.
He should change his first name to Lou and join the army.
The Five Doctors 2.0

If they could bring back Eccleson they could have 'The Three Doctors'. Then we'd have 'The Two Doctors', 'The Three Doctors', and 'The Five Doctors'.
He should change his first name to Lou and join the army.
My sides.
I prefer matt smith, the previous doctor was far too emotional and seemed to have a break down every episode.
[editline]22nd November 2012[/editline]
the point is with the 11th doctor is he's very sad, very depressed. But he masks it with fun and escapism with his TARDIS, he's a unhappy clown but he makes sure that everyone else is entertained.

Already done.

Gonna need another 3 to make this work.

Or... one, I guess. 4 is a forgettable number. :v:
Personally, if they don't bring back Paul McGann for multi-Doctor special, I'll be disappointed.

He got one movie to him, and while he's been doing Big Finish audio stories ever since, it'd be nice to see him in the role again (even if he uses his preferred new costume).

how does something like that even happen anyway
was there a fire or something
No, they just got lost/thrown out. It wasn't expected that the series would get rebooted after the 7th Doctor.
