Why must something as small as a group stage football game escalate into racism between two extremely similar countrys?
I wonder how many times we will hear "1966" in the commentary tonight. Rooting for USA.

I guess...I just never see the point in getting fired up about any sport unless you're playing in it or have money riding on it.
I wish football would go back to the golden days, where the players were home grown and had mullets and mustaches.
I think argentina might win the world cup. England have a low chance to win it but it would be awesome if they did. I don't even like football.

It's mostly used as a chance to go out and have fun with your friends. This world cup is driving millions of people into pubs and bars to watch the game which is stimulating the econemy so there's other benefits besides raising national pride as well.
I've never been a fan of football, I can't stand hearing nothing but "GO ENGLAND" every time I leave the house. I don't care whether we win or not, as long as everybody stops going insane over it at the end.
