• Sharp may not survive if it can't turn around its business

I feel bad. Sharp just put a ton of R&D into their IGZO displays and they're going to be very useful when we get into 400+ ppi displays(whether or not this is a useful feature is a different story). Hope they don't go under. [editline]5th November 2012[/editline]
I dunno but 'camera sucks' doesn't seem very well thought out either. Seeing as mine has a 8.1 megapixel camera, and it makes amazingly beautiful photos. Furthermore, my battery easily lasts the entire day, which from my experience is about the same as a iPhone, and it runs perfectly fine. Oh and I bought the phone for roughly $120.
He was talking about the Nexus devices linked. You can not get an Android device that has the best hardware(camera and screen and internals included), with lots of storage, and stock Android updated from Google.
They make nice TVs but they're so fucking expensive.
People should just stop arguing what is better. Just shut up and use the device YOU like. Simple as that.
They make nice TVs but they're so fucking expensive.
And they have useless bullshit like their Quattron tech. I wanna meet the display scientist who decided to put in a yellow subpixel to make trillions of colors even though it's useless because no content exists that would take advantage of it.

It's like amputating the whole arm because of a broken wrist.

I won't buy an Android phone that isn't a Nexus, so that means I have no options at all on Android and my only choices are WP8 devices or an iPhone 5. Also this thread was about Sharp from what I understand. They mostly make displays for a wide variety of applications, not a lot of phones.

Don't use phones for cameras, use a DSLR if you truely care that much that you're going to start bitching about 8.0+ megapixels vs 9.0+ megapixels.
Ahh what's the point in arguing your tastes in devices?
Don't use phones for cameras, use a DSLR if you truely care that much that you're going to start bitching about 8.0+ megapixels vs 9.0+ megapixels.
you may not always have a dslr with you, so it never hurts to have a good cam in a phone
the s3 has a great camera and battery life, atleast you can turn the stabilization off unlike on the iphone where it zooms in the entire screen cause of it
That's a shame. In my opinion Sharp makes great tvs.
megapixels mean nothing
More like, megapixels are not what you measure quality with. They still mean something, and more will come in handy if the rest of the camera is good enough for it to be useful.
Ahh what's the point in arguing your tastes in devices?
People want to flaunt their dicks around and act like their tastes are better than others.
Damn. Sharp made the panel for my Sony Bravia XBR-something or other, which was one of the first TVs to offer a 120hz refresh rate back in like 2008. That TV was the shit back then, and it still produces a damn nice picture. I'd be sad to see them go.
Just finish this here. Apple AND Android are both rather great phones. However, the price of Iphones are little overpricy sometimes even though Androids are usually on-par/better. My phone is $100, and does everything on par that the Iphone does, except for better camera, and with that I don't even take pictures usually. However, comparing the Galaxy S3 to the Iphone 5, the Galaxy S3 is $564, and the 64GB Iphone 5 is $400. So, Androids and Iphones, I think, are equal to eachother. However in recent times, I would prefer buying a Iphone 5 over newer Android phones because of prices.

Damn they make good LCD's
I was hoping for Foxxcon, this is sad. Also they're failing because Intel and Apple. Idiots will only buy your shiny shit for so long.
Intel is shiny shit? "hey guys let's go buy AMD because more cores more power that's what the ad said"
I still have a black Sharp mobile phone that Vodafone gave me back in 2004. I had so many great times with it playing funny midi's :(
