I've seen one or two stories on people that suffer brain damage and then magically have the ability to do absurdly complex mental math and such. I mean, it's a bit more involved than that, but some "disabilities" can indeed cause extreme aptitude in certain areas.

If you look on the comments on the page, the daughter has actually posted a reply saying that she is doing alright, but that her father continues to abuse her by manipulating her from afar. She also says that her mother shouldn't be blamed at all for the abuse. It's kind of weird to see her comment on something I helped bring to light, makes me feel good.
