Thats totally horrible. Theres a difference between punishing your kid with a belt (I used to get the belt when I was younger), and beating them. Its sickening when he constantly hits her while shes screaming, then shes just sitting there crying and he turns around and hits her as hard as he can again. Good on her for actually recording it and reporting it though.

It's bad enough that the reason for all of this was stupid as shit, but if she had seriously done something so terrible; I don't agree that parents should avoid trying to discipline through asserting dominance, because some really spoilt fuckers come out of parents that are too nice and who are taken advantage of. [B]HOWEVER[/B], any and all 'physical discipline' should be light enough so that you make still your point, and absolutely not to intentionally inflict as much pain on them as you can. It's one thing to spank your kids or slap them on the wrist and it's another to continuously beat her while wielding something. A 16 year old girl, with or without a disability doesn't have a high pain threshold as it is, so even a light smack on the arm would have gotten his point across. You're looking for an 'Ouch' not agonized screaming. This dude is putting ALL of his strength into beating her with the belt repetitively, and grabbing her by the hair to yell at her? That's not parenting, that's fucking abuse. I hope he loses any and all credibility.

I live in the area this happened in, and I've been telling all of my friends and family about it to spread the word of his crimes. So even if he isn't punished by the law, at least he won't be elected again.

There was literally no way to obtain copies of a huge span of media and even for one that were available, they would appear deep inside bargain bins or for huge sums of money from second hand sellers.
