well to be fair apparently the chinese happen to have the world's fastest supercomputer, if nothing else
isn't the record for "fastest supercomputer" only held for like a few years anyways
China is actually investing into science/research at an increasing rate. They're building a (what is by far the largest) radio telescope and providing a monetary incentive ($150B/year) for companies to replace their workforce with automation. Also their space station and stuff.
who the fuck is America behind technologically
also Americas taxation is actually relatively quite low compared to the rest of the developed nations
As far as technology goes, we're far behind Japan, and Hong Kong, to name a couple. You know that super futuristic looking cyberpunk-esque city in 1995's Ghost in the Shell? That's actually modeled after Hong Kong, and you can visit about 85% of the places shown in the movie. Japan is constantly making bounds and leaps in the field of robotics.
No, the corporate tax rate in the United States is 39.1%, higher than any European nation by about 10%. If you don't understand how taxes work, corporations are taxed TWICE. Once when the income is initially earned, and then a second time time when it reaches an employee. The reason they're able to avoid this taxation is through "tax inversion", where they base their company outside of the United States. I remember seeing a documentary explain the money trail behind google's earnings, where their supposed "headquarters" is in some South American tax haven. Then there's all sorts of deductions that they abuse the fuck out of as well, so there's a clear need for reform. After all these crazy exemptions and whatnot, it is still estimated that we tax businesses at an effective rate of 27.9%(According to politifact), which is still #2, just under New Zealand.
Also, we get a lot less in benefits than other "developed" nations from that tax. So we have to spend a fuck ton of our money out of pocket on services that people in other nations just get for free.
Speaking of, I'm not naturally prone to vandalism but if they keep putting fucking toll booths all over our roads it's going to become pretty tempting.

Which is why I added "out of pocket".
These are lies fabricated Russian propaganda and she doesn't have to worry about it
Yes, but the chinese have held it more then the other nations combined in the last 10 to 15 years, from memory.
Also the large hadron collider in europe is far more advanced then the one in the us.
