It's my life I dont want someone controlling what I do and when I do it, If I die from some freak tornado that came out of fucking nowhere while I was playing a game on my 360 I would say "Shit-damn that was fun... Wait how the fuck?"
Would you be saying this before, or during the time you're inside the tornado? /sarcasm
Oh really now?
Yea, Jersey Shore, Point Pleasant or Seaside Heights. Stone Pony in Asbury, all that nice shit, yea?
Yea, Jersey Shore, Point Pleasant or Seaside Heights. Stone Pony in Asbury, all that nice shit, yea?
Lol nice. I live on the boarder of 2 towns called Bloomfield and Glen Ridge. Quite close to those places too :D
Im in New Jersey we dont get tornados :buddy:
Just because you "don't get" tornadoes, doesn't mean you can't have one. Infact: http://www.tornadoproject.com/alltorns/njtorn.htm Tornadoes can happen almost anywhere in the continental U.S, IIRC just this past summer there was one as far up as Maine. I think this is a fantastic idea, could save a lot of lives.
yea tornados can happen anywhere, but one in california won't be as bad as one in say Alabama or other Tornado prone area's.
Still incorrect. Chances are, yes, a tornado in California won't be as severe as one in Tornado Alley. In 1978 there was an F3 tornado just south of Joshua Tree National Park. (Source) Anywhere can have an any sized tornado if the conditions are right. [editline]08:52PM[/editline] No one can trump my weather knowledge yo

My physics teacher, who was also a meteorology teacher, talked about the weather more than the class, I slept every day.
Ignorance is bliss, that is until a tornado is bearing down on your house and you're getting ripped apart by pieces of debris. Bliss.
That's a fair point. Where do you go when a tornado hits? The basement. Where do nerds live? Their parents' basement. It's pretty redundant.
What if your parents don't have a basement?
As long as there aren't THIS IS A REQUIRED MONTHLY TEST messages and it isn't annoying as hell it sounds pretty good to me. Although I think you'd probably hear about it somewhere else before you saw the message on your xbox or w/e
If a tornado was bearing down on your pad, I think you would hear the sound of a dozen freight trains over the sounds of death and dying from your TV. [editline]08:27PM[/editline]
according to history, in my area, the tornados are all F0's 0 deaths 0 injuries.
And tomorrow, your shit could get fucked up by an F5, you never know. :v:
And tomorrow, your shit could get fucked up by an F5, you never know. :v:
Hey look, someone that gets my point.
They should just make the weather thats happening in the real world, happen in game :350:
I'd like this, maybe if it just shows up as a small bar at the bottom of the screen.
Seems like a pretty legit idea. I wouldn't mind having that.
We dont have to worry about Gabe Newell
Wouldn't work if your console wasn't hooked up to the internet, though. [editline]09:43PM[/editline]
We dont have to worry about Gabe Newell
:colbert:
Press A to survive the Tornado! Also fuck yes Minnesota. Don't be hating on our schizophrenic weather.
Although we don't usually need such warnings here in the UK, I think that's a bloody excellent idea. Personally I'd love a weather update delivered through Steam at 10PM each night, since I mostly cycle to work. Excellent idea, I hope they go through with it.
They better not try to warn of a zombie invasion while playing L4D2 or of an alien attack while we play Dead Space or we are fucked. :v:
Or they will think they by accident entered the single-player campaign:
I got goosebumps at that part of the campaign
Here's a good representation of a pop up that could happen:
I remember watching a cartoon about this girl who was playing a video game only to be interrupted by a commercial break.
If it were on steam it would look like this
Good idea IMO
If they find a way to make people to understand, that the storm is real, not a game one, then that's awesome.
