Cool, they have my IP
I don't even own a PS3.
I don't even own a PS3.
Me neither. :frown:
Wow Sony I'm so scared! You got my IP address. What you going to do with it?
They are going to shut down your Microsoft then you won't be able to get on your processor and it will give a virus to your TV.
Cool, they have my IP
I just went to Geohotz website just because of this.
So yeah Sony you have my IP, go ahead and do something with it if you can.
No sony products for me in the future I guess.
Hahaha what do they think they're going to do with those IP's?
It's not like they can ban them, in fact anything on that kind of threshold would be very very bad.
Hmm... I wonder if the article says what they'll do with the IP addresses...
I don't know what they'll do with the IPs but yeah, i have PS3 related data on my computer from his site.
I don't even own a PS3, I just like saving things for historical value. I'm a fucking nerd deal with it

Good thing my processor has a Linux and I run some Malwarebytes on my TV
Digging their own grave. By going Bankrupt if they sue half the world.

K well apparently no one is getting the message even though I said it like 4 or 5 times in this thread so I guess this will be the last time I repeat myself here on this topic.
Sony isn't sueing anyone who looked on the site
Sony isn't sueing anyone who looked on the site
Sony isn't sueing anyone who looked on the site

Sony isn't sueing anyone who looked on the site
Go back and read the article because they said what they needed the IPs for. They need to know how many people viewed the info he published and where the site's viewers came from so they can choose an appropriate venue and calculate the damages they want to seek in the lawsuit.
It is just baffling why you guys are jumping to stupid conclusions like "sony wants to sue 60 million people" instead of just reading the article.
big deal, Sony has a list of IPs. They can't ban everyone who was ever curious about jailbreaking their iPhone/iPod/PS3 from the PSN.
Hooray for thought crimes.
I've never visited the site. :c00lbert:
Next up, anyone who even knows that these hacks exist will be sued.
[editline]4th March 2011[/editline]
And then anyone who's friends with someone who knows will be sued.
You can't even know about the PS3 now
You can't know about Sony
Sony grow the fuck up.
God damn you are not a child, this is not elementary school. You are a big boy now, you need to start acting like it.
I would be surprised if anyone who visited a website in the last year has the same IP now that they did when they visited
(Obviously not in the last 2 weeks, but a year ago? Naaaaah)

Maybe they're just having fun...or hitting the reply button at the bottom of the first page.
You have my IP, What are you going to do to me? Sue me? Have fun with that, You're not going to get anywhere.
[editline]6th March 2011[/editline]
You know what? Here, you can have my IP anyway.
60.240.189.231
Have fun with it.
I wonder if its just a list for checking how many PS3s could be affected by this or not.
Everyone should chill out and realize that, as it has already been said both in the thread and the article, Sony isn't suing everyone going to the website, they just need it as proof that people actually went there.
Going there now isn't going to do anything but help fuel Sony's case against the owner of the website, so please everyone go there, Sony will probably just thank you for it.
They can't use visit figures as proof of lost sales though, so I can't fathom why they would want the ip list.
lol, and i was about to buy a sony monitor. Srsly sony, grow the fuck up. If i put sprinkles on the ice cream you gave me you can't force me to take the sprinkles off. Or force me to put the ice cream back on the cone if i push it off.

WHAT THE FUCK are you even TALKING about.
Seriously, stop stopping that crack. it's like your the epitome of retardation.
Dude, no reads the articles when it comes to ongoing things. Like the bitchfest against Sony :v:
What lost sales? If anything, jailbreaking improves sales
Congrats sony! You just found a way to loose customers easy!

Looks like I'm going to Orange, Australia

217-225 Summer St to be exact
This is like arresting someone for owning a knife because it's possible to kill someone with it. It's ludicrous.
They can't use visit figures as proof of lost sales though, so I can't fathom why they would want the ip list.
They need it to prove how the owner of the website spread it around and didn't just use it for himself.
