I used to love watching stuff with Hulk Hogan in it but there really is absolutely zero "non-racist" context for what he said. Granted, it was a while back and maybe he's even changed?? Who knows, but you can't actively defend the words, context or not. There's no excuse for using the word in the way that he did.

Back in that era of wrestling it was more common to find douchebags than nicer people. Mainly because of Vince McMahon being a royal douchebag himself, he liked to hire people of a like mind. The real change happened with Dusty Rhodes' WCW, where many wrestlers moved to because they were sick of McMahon's WWF. Guys like Jim Duggan and Randy Savage, who were great guys backstage and were allowed to shine properly on the WCW roster.
