She earned the diploma, they just look stupid and impotent by trying to use the diploma to punish her when she no longer is subject to their whims. Those administrators should write an apology to the country for acting more childish than their students.
More like to the world
I also graduated this year in Prague, but in Czech Republic. I wore full perfect suit except wearing socks and sandals. I think it's a good thing they didn't make us have a speech.
I had an awesome teacher who called us all niggas :v: He was African American, but used it for everyone. One day I came in with a poetry assignment done and he was like, "My nigga, I can't wait for you to present this to the class." Another time one of my friends who was a sort of school joker was goofing around and our teacher said, "Nigga, why you talkin all that whack?"
I'm imagining Snoop Lion as a teacher. That would be awesome.
I'm sorta playing the devil's advocate, but she is stupid for refusing to write an apology when there is a college scholarship on the line. In the game of life, she shouldn't risk things like that. If her pride is literally that huge, she should write the apology, claim her diploma, and return to the superintendent later and speak to him personally about her thoughts on it.

She should inform the school that they should give her the diploma or she will have to make this a legal situation. If they deny her, go straight to her government representation and inform them what is happening. If they refuse to help, a lawsuit is in order. Apologizing legitimizes their position and can be used against you in court.
If her college will still take her without the diploma I'd tell them to keep the damn thing
in elementary school yes (man, i remember when 'crap' was a bad word too)
One time I had a teacher that would get mad if you said "pissed" in any context.
Referring to a place of eternal suffering is now a punishable offence? Well god forbid anyone mentions the name of this school...
I'm not surprised, my school censored emails. "The message was not accepted due to content found within the message body. Please revise the text before trying to resend or contact support to request the message be released from quarantine."
Cunt wasn't in it.
Pretty sure it was, when someone was talking about the chick that was raped I can't remember 100% though
One time I had a teacher that would get mad if you said "pissed" in any context.
not really related to school but i remember when i said "pissed off" at my friends house and his mom kicked me out :v:
Even "crap" isn't considered a "bad" word now.
Hell is still considered a Bad word?
I don't see how. What if someone wants to say "he/she went through hell"? Is this the fucking dark ages or what? [editline]20th August 2012[/editline]
where are his eyebrows?
In Hell. Hence the reason for this whole deal.

That's bullshit.
In 7th grade, we had to read "Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry". For those who are unfamiliar with this, it's a book about this black family in America just after the Civil War. They drop the N-bomb a few times in it. My teacher didn't try to clean it up at all when we were reading it. We're exposed to even worse words than "hell" as far back as most of us can remember. I remember reading "Fuck school" written on a school bus window when I was 7 years old. I'm sure their school probably teaches "Catcher in the Rye" like every other high school does, and that's got words worse than "hell" in it. The school system can't be mad at a kid for using it when the school system exposes us to words like it in its curriculum.
Why are principals and school administrators fucking horrible half the time?
Because you don't hear about the good ones.
http://www.prague.k12.ok.us/ Did you know that Prague High School's mascot is the Devil? They have no idea what the hell kind of trouble they started!!! Funny, considering where i'm from, during the HS Graduation Ceremony, some guy yelled out "FUCK YOU ALL" at the end of his speech and gave everyone the bird, all he got was a shove from the Vice Principal and that was it. No diploma holding.
Oh come on, my class valedictorian wore steampunk goggles, made a shit ton of sex jokes, and referenced Kanye at least 3 times in his speech. Let her keep her damn diploma
That sounds like the best graduation speech ever.
The reason why society in general places stigma on the regular use of vulgar words is because they are disdainful and derisive in nature, and their addition to text or speech instantly makes it sound abusive in tone. Regardless of how prudish and sensitive you might think this sounds, encouraging people to moderate their use of foul language is an effective way for not having to occasionally listen to the vitriolic un-pleasantries of the people you interact with in your day-to-day lives, even if it's not directed at you. [editline].[/editline] That being said though when someone does happen to curse, censoring them is stupid.
I have to say though, it seems like the more a swear is used, the less power it has. I mean we don't even flinch around here when someone says fuck. Not to say that when possible we shouldn't attempt to organize our thoughts in such a way that doesn't require profanity.
I want to burn his house down to the ground

You curse when you're angry, its an expression of emotion. If you hear fuck a lot then you're around angry people a lot. Plus it matters how loudly you say it.
In 7th grade my science teacher called some student an ass. I don't remember the context, though.
In 7th grade my science teacher called some student an ass. I don't remember the context, though.
Maybe he was a donkey.
While I in no way support what happened, why are you all taking this out on the superintendent? As far as I can tell this was an action of the school's own principal, and the only mention of the superintendent is his declining to comment on the matter because of confidentiality, which I'm assuming is standard policy for most schools in the country.
What's wrong with hell?
What's wrong with hell?
It's far too hot this time of year.
hahaha we literally say fuck and shit in front of our computer science teacher and he gives no fucks hell, we put shit and fuck in our code lots of times.
Wow, my old 6th grade science teacher called one of her students a whore right in front of the whole class. And they're making a big deal for someone saying Hell?
