But if it was falling through the atmosphere shouldn't it simply disintegrate within seconds? Sorry I'm not familiar with rocket science.
It's not in the atmosphere, it's probably in space, in a sub-orbital flight (meaning it's out of the atmosphere but will re-enter it before it completes an orbit.) It's also possible to re-enter the atmosphere without burning up. The white SRB boosters on the side of the shuttle are ejected when the shuttle is practically out of the atmosphere, but they don't build up enough speed as they fall and so they don't burn up.

I hope you guys soon realize that it's a warp-hole designed by the United States Military. They use them to fast travel through the air space to different countries.
It's another galaxy about to close in on us and destroy us all!. Inb dumb rating, that you know I'm right, don't you judge me!
really interesting wonder what it is
Jesus, can no one afford a decent camera in Australia? That gallery burns my eyes. Except for the sunset one.
I saw it too.
does it spin? or does it just sit still
If it didn't spin, it would just be a straight line.
Anyone find it really funny how they say UFO? UFAAOOR
The first Falcon 9 rocket was launched on the same day as this, oh and look at it's ground track. It passed over Australia the same time the spirals were seen. It also malfunctioned slightly causing the second stage to rotate.
