In Louisiana, when a little Hurricane (or two) comes a-knockin, we don't panic. We fucking party!
Hawaiians, BREAK OUT YOUR BOOZE! :v:
The first one got downgraded to a tropical storm. Some downed trees and power outages here and there on Maui but no winds yet :V:
The locals are used to lava flowing through their living room. I'm sure they'll be fine.
I am Hawaii and locals yes I can confirm indeed.
Oh and apparently there's some bad price gouging going on. $32.99 for a pack of bottle water.

I live in Kaneohe, there was just a huge gust and heavy rain for a little bit and then nothing. Still overcast, but when is it ever not like that?
Still, itsfuckingnothing.png, so far
My friend is flying there for his 21st in a few hours haha bad luck
I am thoroughly disappointed in Iselle. I expected a massive storm to fuck shit up.
We got a little rain and some wind. I slept through most of it. Fuck :v:

Sorry, it's just the fact that this was supposed to be a pretty devastating thing, especially considering The last tropical storm/hurricane that did more than bring rain/wind and topple some plastic chairs was over 20 years ago.
This is the first time I've seen people boarding up windows and throwing down sandbags and it's kind of scary especially since we don't usually get anything like this.
Also, if anyone is still interested, the big island was the only place that got hit. Video of the aftermath.
