The food at Tim hortons is already pretty gross. Nothing is made fresh. The coffee is fucking amazing though.
Each store used to bake it fresh but sometime in the early 00's they started baking it out in Ontario, freezing and packaging it and then shipping it out to stores. Quality kind of...suffered. I remember when they still used to sell cakes. When Wendys bought them out the first time the menu got so damn greasy. Why would you want to diversify beyond soup, sandwiches, coffee and doughnuts?
Please no. I don't wish for more Canadian Corporations to liquidate or be sold off to US. We had Zeller's, then that was gone, but please don't take Tims.
Please build a Tim Hortons on every corner in America like they already have in Canada.
Maybe it differs depending where you live, but I've found Harvey's to be the only fast food joint that actually puts some effort into making their burgers.
I doubt they'd do a hostile rebranding since the name is so popular in Canada. At worst, they'd probably introduce Tim Hortons brand sides at BK and vice versa at existing Horton chains.
From what I understand of the deal the two would remain separate brands. Timmies would get some aid with expanding in the US while BK would dodge American corporate taxes by essentially becoming a Canadian company.
are canadian corporate taxes that much lower than those in the U.S.? also is it really cost effective for an inversion when you have to spend billions obtaining said company to invert
We have a Tim Horton's shared with an Arby's here.
I'll be cross if they do.
If they buy them up and get rid of my fucking chicken salad sandwich sub thingy I'm going to gut them like sheep
BK is actually among the better chains around here. McDonalds makes me sick every time I eat there and Wendey's gives me charcoal on a bun. BK is actually kinda fresh.
weirdly, both BK and mcD are good around here. But maybe BK is better, king rib is pretty good or whatever its called and the burgers seem bigger

Heck for a while in the 90s it was merged with Wendy's http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Hortons
So are they going to make the coffee not shit?
So are they going to make the coffee not shit?
How dare you.
bk is so good. i try to avoid fast food places but bk has some deicious burgers and fries. never had tim hortons tho the only one around here is expensive as shit
I hope you Canucks enjoy greasy and incredibly salty American cuisine.
You forget sweet too. I tried this American style place selling ribs and Jesus its so fucking sweet I couldn't even finish it.
bk is so good. i try to avoid fast food places but bk has some deicious burgers and fries. never had tim hortons tho the only one around here is expensive as shit
BK, Wendy's, and Mickey D's all have similar pricing for their main stuff I thought.
You scrubs. Sonic/Steak&Shake master race.
pretty sure wendys already owns tims though
Doing some reading, it looks like Wendys had handed shares back over to make Tim Hortons its own company again "Tim Hortons Inc." for tax reasons.
So are they going to make the coffee not shit?
Deport him.
So are they going to make the coffee not shit?
Your citizenship is now forfeit.
So are they going to make the coffee not shit?
Let me guess, your favorite order is a tall latte mochachinno espresso with extra whip, with a design of a dollar sign made in the whip from $tarbucks.
So are they going to make the coffee not shit?
I'm sorry but I'll be taking my large double-double over your burnt pisswater from Starbucks any day of the week.
Reading this thread has now made me hungry for timbits.
You scrubs. Sonic/Steak&Shake master race.
I'm actually offended by this. Steak&Shake is fine but Sonic is seriously one of the worst fast food places I know of. The food is okay but it's over-priced as hell, the portions are fucking tiny, the service is always terrible and takes forever, and they don't even let you inside. I mean I pay like 10 dollars every time for some okay food, sit in my car for like 20 minutes, and leave hungry. The only good thing about Sonic is the Blasts (which are really fucking good but really is not enough to put them at BK/Wendy's/McDonald's Tier). [editline]25th August 2014[/editline] literally fite me
You scrubs. Sonic/Steak&Shake master race.
Sonics drinks as ok-good but god damn the food is disgusting. What do you eat there that isn't terrible?

Jack in the Box 4 lyfe
You know Dunkin' Doughnuts? It's the Canadian version of that, except also better. There are more Tim Hortons in Canada than any other fast food joint. There's about 7 of them on my university campus alone.
That's a dangerous accusation. Dunkins has shit coffee, but their food/donuts are millennia beyond TH
That's a dangerous accusation. Dunkins has shit coffee, but their food/donuts are millennia beyond TH
Nonsense, Tims doughnuts are great. And does Dunkin have Timbits? I don't think so. Dunkin was one of the places I wanted to go on my trip to Michigan this summer. Ended up in a US Tim Hortons instead.
That's a dangerous accusation. Dunkins has shit coffee, but their food/donuts are millennia beyond TH
Tim Hortins has godly coffee and godly food/donuts. Enjoy your 1 out of 2 while we enjoy our perfect 2/2
