Only real problem is Games For Windows Live and EA's system (Mostly)
I've never had a problem with DRM in the past. I never even knew half of the games you guys mention had DRM, because you talk about them as if they're unplayable. I've never had problems with Spore or Assassin's Creed.
So having to associate a game with an account isn't DRM?
Associating a game with an account is DRM but that isn't what stops pirates, you can get pirated versions and such. In my opinion what stops people from pirating it is the fact that there's a free version (with much less features), multiple updates (making it harder to keep your version up to date) and the fact that you need a legal copy to play online. Pirates could provide a closed environment of cracked servers to play and it would suck, yes it's DRM but DRM isn't the only means of beating the pirates. That form of DRM hardly inconveniences the end-user who legally purchased it anyway, basically exactly what you want DRM to do.

The day I found out that Sony had installed a fucking malicious rootkit into my Hard Drive was the day I stopped "buying" anything for my computer.
I didn't buy Assassin's Creed Brotherhood because I didn't want to deal with the DRM (my internet connection isn't always reliable, too).
old fucking news rules were made to be broken

ACII's was patched as well so it only needs connection when starting, if I remember correctly.
ACII's was patched as well so it only needs connection when starting, if I remember correctly.
Only because of the shitstorm of complaints from customers with unreliable connections.
Yeah, but that was kind of late response to it, it was patched, what, last month?
All DRM is cracked within a matter of days, after it's cracked it just serves to piss off legitimate customers. So yes, GoG is right on here. That's why I love them.
