I guess they should recall sandwiches too since I can load one up with TNT.
He was just trying to create a new flavour, Arctic Blast.
Looks like....

He blew off more then he could chew
That has to be the most hilarious way to die ever.
If the guy that died could see it, he'd probably high five all of his friends.

It's not a product on the market, damnit, it was an experiment lying around in that particular lab.

Poor guy. He just wanted some tasty gum. :saddowns:
The taste is mind-blowing.
I don't get the citric acid part. Can you get high off of citric acid gum or something?
Citric acid is the primary ingredient in basically all sour lollies.

I lol'd. Hard.
Who puts explosive paste right next to their citric acid!! That's unsanitary!
The student apparently had a bizarre habit of chewing gum after dipping it into citric acid, Russian news agency Ria Novosti said.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Investigators suspect that the student simply confused the packets and put gum covered with explosive material into his mouth.
"Oops."
Holy shit!!
Pics please
Now, does anybody actually believe this story?
Gum can't explode if you dip it in an explosive compound. Explosions only happen when a flash-flammable substance goes off inside an air-tight enclosure.
"bu-but hypno toad, it was in his mouth, that's an enclosure" No it isn't. If something started to explode inside his mouth, his lips would open and all the force would just blow out of his mouth. Even if he could get an explosion in his mouth, there couldn't possibly be enough explosive material on the gum to blow his jaw off. A strong human jaw can bite down to about 280 pounds of force, do you honestly think that explosive material on chewing gum could exert over 280 pounds of force? This story was in weekly world news, by the way. It's obviously fake.
