Not when you have sensitive teeth like me :( I used to love Magners and Bulmers, etc. over here in the UK but now I can't drink any of the ciders without my teeth hurting and not being able to bite without discomfort for a day or so after.
Haha yeah, drinking cider is how I discovered a cavity in one of my teeth.
omega white cider is fucking awful and anyone in this thread proud of that piece of shit should stop drinking alcohol and rip their tastebuds out of their throat
"Proof" isn't the same as vol (it's double, so something that is 80 proof is 40% vol. and something that is 60 proof is 30% vol. and so on).
[t]https://www.danmurphys.com.au/media/DM/Product/750x2000/905095_0_9999_v1_m56577569832116107.jpg[/t] So is this 190 proof?
Some countries have different proof systems. I'd check that.
Hey, lobster used to be considered peasant food in the New England region of the States back two centuries. Cider is better than beer.
You can't compare Cider and Beer, they are two totally different drinks. It's like comparing Wine and Whiskey.
You can't compare Cider and Beer, they are two totally different drinks. It's like comparing Wine and Whiskey.
That was subjective to my tastes; I'm just saying I prefer cider over beer any day of the week.
Shouldn't store cider in cans. The metallic taste leaks into the cider.
I drink some cider from a can, sometimes it's okay with a metallic taste. I tried Rekorderlig Strawberry and Lime in can and bottle though but the metallic taste in the can made it so I couldn't finish it. Somersby cider I tried and liked in the cans though.
I also prefer cider to beer. I used to drink something similar to this stuff when I was a kid, it cost about 80p was around 8% and tasted like battery acid.
I also prefer cider to beer. I used to drink something similar to this stuff when I was a kid, it cost about 80p was around 8% and tasted like battery acid.
Yeah we used to drink stuff called "Devils Bit" and it came in 2 liter bottles, we called it "Devils Piss"
Oh wow, I wish it was cheap like that here.
Not that cheap but I wouldn't complain if they shaved a few percent off the alcohol tax.
And yet a 4% pint in my local costs me £4.50, they need to reduce pub tax and increase it on shit like this.
[t]https://www.danmurphys.com.au/media/DM/Product/750x2000/905095_0_9999_v1_m56577569832116107.jpg[/t] So is this 190 proof?
190 proof, 95% vol. my polish buddy gets me a bottle of that every once in a while. makes you piss and breath fire
And yet a 4% pint in my local costs me £4.50, they need to reduce pub tax and increase it on shit like this.
I love heading down to the pub, but you are absolutely right. Having to pay almost 4 times for the same drink is ridiculous. I mean maybe a slight (and I mean slight) increase in tax for beer/cider from supermarkets along with a proper reduction in pub tax would be ideal. Also I feel like there is something slightly seedy about having a drink on your own at home and going down to the pub simply seems more social.
I'm sure if you did the maths, 'expensive' alcohol like Jack Daniels, Grey Goose, the rest of it, would wind up to be as cheap as this because it's in larger quantities and much higher strength (alc. vol%)
Grey Goose can never be called cheap. Maybe it's because I just think vodka is "vanilla" alcohol, which you either do shots of, or mix it, but I never understand why people waste money on Grey Goose when cheaper shit does the job just as well.
Grey Goose can never be called cheap. Maybe it's because I just think vodka is "vanilla" alcohol, which you either do shots of, or mix it, but I never understand why people waste money on Grey Goose when cheaper shit does the job just as well.
the difference in taste between a bottle of tesco value and premium vodkas (ciroc, belvedere and grey goose) is insane, plus the hangover is a lot cleaner off the more refined stuff. i've found cheap wine on a fiver deal to be the best unit vs cost bar the 2L ciders, but i prefer the taste of a decent cheap wine versus the shitty ciders. nothing beats kopparberg tho, god damn love that cider.
That stuff will give you the worst hangover of your life.
It depends, if you are having cider you need to commit to drinking nothing but cider for the night because there's a big chance it won't agree with anything else in your system.
It depends, if you are having cider you need to commit to drinking nothing but cider for the night because there's a big chance it won't agree with anything else in your system.
Yeah, I do admit it's really sugary... That's why I mix in half a shot of vodka to dilute the sugar.
Over the counter Cider (Magners, Bulmers, Strongbow) around 4.5-5% Hard Cider (Scrumpy Jack, Keplers, Druids) 6-7% Craft Cider (Hertfordshire, Somerset, Armagh) 6.5-10% Thats the loose gist of Irish/British Ciders.
Somerset is a craft cider? It's like the most common supermarket cider here :~
Somerset is a craft cider? It's like the most common supermarket cider here :~
*Cider From Somerset, the home of Cider.
Haha yeah, drinking cider is how I discovered a cavity in one of my teeth.
I just have enamel issues. Cider seems to take a layer of it off or something. Happens with orange juice, etc. too.
I drank so much when I was younger, mostly because I didn't realize how harmful it was drinking so many units in one evening. Getting pissed can be great fun, I just do it a bit more in moderation these days. Alcohol and tobacco are still some of the biggest threats to the public health here in Denmark. Drinking heavily is just so socially acceptable that few people really question it.
You wouldn't want to try white cider anyway, other strong ciders are just as nice, such as Old Rosie: 7.3%
I've lost a week to that stuff. Stay away from it.
this stuff is the fucking worst of all white ciders
WHITE CIDER POWER
