We better be slaughtering moonmen with laser rifles soon for all that dosh.
Fyi we can't afford to keep our ships repaired most of which are in various states of disrepair, and 2/3rds of US Navy strike fighters can't fly due to large budget shortfalls due to obama Era cuts to the military. I understand defense spending needs to be toned down a bit, but the previous cuts rubber stamped by Obama are to blame and now we need EVEN MORE funding than ever before to unfuck all this shit, and we are STILL balls deep in the middle east.
Do we even need them to begin with? As old as the world policing rhetoric is, maybe we shouldn't hold the mantle if our entire country is suffering because we have to pump money into our global army. We have a ridiculous amount of soldiers, vehicles, all around tech and it's not getting used. It's like sitting on nuclear weapons, up to a certain point there's no reason having any more than X amount because no ones going to attack you anyway.

We either have to increase funding or greatly curtail our global footprint, like dissolving NATO, pulling out of South East Asia, leaving the middle east and adopting a non-interventionist policy etc. thus greatly reducing the need for a large military.
