PSN Users Reporting Hundreds of Dollars Stolen From Them

Well, now that the message is out and people are canceling their cards, chances are the hacker(s) will start buying shit faster before all the credit card details are rendered useless. This might lead to them slipping up and being caught, if I'm not mistaken this shit awards a nice couple years in jail.
I think I have my credit card info on there but theres a rare chance that my money will get stolen because theres like millions of accounts.
All these because of a bunch of loser nerds and their useless linux, the hackers are huge assholes i feel bad for sony and the people losing money, hopefully sony wont get sued and bankrupt because all damages gets undo and the faggot hackers caught.
I know the hackers may not be geohotz supporters but i believe this is way to much of a coincidence.
EDIT-
I'm talking bout linux in OtherOS, linux in general is great sorry for any misinterpretration.

I have been wondering this too
However Linux is extremely, extremely useful, don't say that.

Do you not fucking see the exact same video posted about 10-15 posts above you?
God damn, we really need a "Bad Reading" rating again.
Anyways, wouldn't Sony have some kind of insurance to protect them against this kind of thing?

That's a smart way to protect your accounts.
Sony's executives are probably freaking out right now wow
Didn't Zeke129 get like 80 bucks stolen from him as well?
Ha, my checking account only has 11 cents in it. Good thing I blew the rest of the money on Steam.

Clearly I didn't see it if I just reposted it, my bad.
It is really sad that things got out of hand.
Although millions of consumers have had their private information compromised, let us not forget that we can at least do our part and resolve the issue of having our information compromised. If your not feeling safe, then call your bank or credit card company, whatever and just have your account changed. It is annoying, but it certainly is not hard. I remember losing my Debit card somewhere on campus and I had to get it replaced. It took less than a week to get issued a new card. I am certain it won't take long for a lot of people to make some changes.

Doesn't matter. If you used a credit card to pay, that's where the charges will be.
The hackers are nerds that are crying big baby tears over the stupid things Sony does. I agree Sony is pretty stupid but the hacker is worse. He's taking money from innocent users for no reason whatsoever. The hacker is a moron.
If it is actually true that Sony was sitting on this information about how severe the security breach was, this could be this end of them as a company.

I don't think that's the case this time. This really seems to be done with a very malicious intent. Not a screw a company over attempt but a get money, live like a king attempt. And that's what scares me about it. :ohdear:
I think sony has protental on the gaming industry, it'll be a shame if the company ends because of some selfish anti social loser hacker, yes im mad because i just discovered i lost 70 bucks thanks to this bitch.
I bet this hacker uses the whole Anon pissed at Sony shit to hack in.

Now you get overdraft fees, too! How great!
If you used a credit card, monitor it very carefully, and call your bank to cancel any charges you didn't make.
If you used a debit card, you're boned.
Well im fucked. My bank account was wired to my old PSN account.

this would be very bad.
i dont play the ps3 often, but they do release some very good ps3 exclusives.
like littlebigplanet for example.
all the more reason for console devs to make PC ports of their games! (hint hint media molecule... hint hint...)
And all this started because Geohot wanted GPU access.
.....my mom just had $500 stolen, and my entire account was wiped clean
my family has about $30 in cash, and that's all the money we have right now
this is fucking fucked up

On this scale, you're looking at many multiple sentences, they'd never get out of jail.

No one gives two shits about Linux, it's all about the custom firmware mods and :airquote:backup:airquote: managers created by dumbass teenagers who want to be famous to let people steal games. There is no "homebrew", it's all stealing.
I can't log into my account to see which credit card is listed.
and their useless linux
How exactly are you surfing on the web right now? Magic?
What do you think runs all of the big infrastructure that allows your daily life to go on?
