I was hoping they would continue with their new style, looked pretty good and original
I remember everyone hating on that style when it was revealed [editline]9th June 2015[/editline]
This and the Reboot reboot
I just read the Press Release/Plot Summery. WHY! Why are they mixing it with live action? That defeated the entire premise of the original show. No actual humans/users were shown. Only their Avatars. No one in the computer'verse knew what they were.
Not same voice actors? fuck that then.....networks need to learn a characters voice is just as iconic and needed as the characters design.
They're not rebooting it for 90s kids. They're rebooting it for kids born in the 2010 decade. Let younger generations have their own things, with their own voice actors and celebrities/famous people. Tara Strong is 42 now. PPG debuted in 1998, and she was 25 then. I think instead of keeping all the old voice actors from the 90s, who are getting old, it's important to let younger talent come into their own with great IPs.
No idea. Probably didn't even get approached to do it.
You're right. [t]http://i.imgur.com/zN4fjww.png[/t]
Aw c'mon not this I guess they wanna jump in this whole mlp craze. I guess Samurai Jack will remain a cliffhanger.

i actually prefer dance pantsed/ppgz animation style over the original or 2016 styles.
I was expecting yet another dreadful 3D overhaul, but count me interested instead
Powerpuff Girls is a strange show, not because of the content, but because of who it's aimed at. I don't think anyone knows the demographics. On the surface it looks like a girls show, but then a lot of the content appeals to boys as well.
i think initially it was intended for girls ages 8-13 but the villains and writing were so gender non-identifying that eventually pretty much everyone could tolerate/enjoy the show.
I use to watch the show in secret because my Dad didn't like the whole "watching a girls show". My mother however knew why I watched it. The cartoon was for everyone, and leaned to the boys more than the girls, yet the merchandice was strictly for girls. I always found that odd. Didn't bother me anyway, as I didn't want any. Mostly had Gundam, Pokemon, and Digimon stuff growing up.
i think initially it was intended for girls ages 8-13 but the villains and writing were so gender non-identifying that eventually pretty much everyone could tolerate/enjoy the show.
how shows should be imo, alot of today's shows could and should learn from this.
I think the idea for a new voice cast is that this is a fresh new start for the Powerpuff girls, for a new generation of kids to enjoy something that aired so long ago, and im upset and confused why they didn't get the old voice actors, there must be some thought in saying "Lets give some new faces a try at voicing a new generation of old characters".
Never forget the best deisgn [t]http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/powerpuffgirls-z-season-2/images/d/d4/Bomb%C3%B3n_Powerpuff_Girls_Z_1.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20131211122613[/t]
Remember the episode in original PPG where prof.utonium's school mate comes to visit and then when he sees the PPG he starts saying how they would make a fortune in Japan? Yep.

See: Steven Universe.
So... which one the girls is going to come out as a lesbian ?
Do you have to ask? It's clearly going to be Buttercup!
Do you have to ask? It's clearly going to be Buttercup!
I disagree. She is tough, but not a lesbian. She will get a man and make him her bitch. Maybe she even becomes a feminist, that's hip these days too.
Blossom! she is commander and leader.......
Do you have to ask? It's clearly going to be Buttercup!
Buttercup definitely likes boys.
If one of them is a lesbian does that mean one of the Rowdy Rough Boys will be gay?
Buttercup definitely likes boys.
Well she was the only one who was grossed out when kissing the Rowdyruff Boys.
If one of them is a lesbian does that mean one of the Rowdy Rough Boys will be gay?
Boomer is the only one who would be gay.
Stuff like this sucks, but sometimes they can't use the old voice actors/actresses because their voice can change. Look at Dexter's Lab. They changed Dexter's voice in between the changes in animation style because the voice actress's voice changed. and I haven't seen that CGI special yet, so I don't know if all of their voices are intact. So it's either because of their voice change or the studio didn't have enough money to get those three back. Either way, it's going to be pretty jarring to hear new voices into the characters we grew up with. It's similar to how the Pokemon anime cast was entirely recasted after the Pokemon Company took over and couldn't afford the old actors (except the narrator for some reason). Some of the characters will just sound way too off from the original voice. I'll remain angrily semi-optimistic. Craig McCracken supports the original three. https://twitter.com/CrackMcCraigen/status/608145946296262656
Tara Strong currently voices Timmy Turner and something in MLP, so I'm assuming there might be an issue with her contract that's preventing her from working with Cartoon Network.
Some things I didn't think I would want to see more of in my life... ...this apparently wasn't one of them. I'm in :v:
Butterface can't be a lesbian. In fact, she was the only one to actually show romantic interest out of the 3 afaik, and it was with the leader guy of the Gangrene Gang.
maybe they are no longer fuckables in hollywood.
Tara Strong is still hot assuming that's what you mean
Sigh, i guess samurai jack will never get the ending it deserves. Does CN just pretend it dosent exist anymore or something?
Sigh, i guess samurai jack will never get the ending it deserves. Does CN just pretend it dosent exist anymore or something?
"It's too expensive." So are all the failed reboots, Samurai Jack is like, the one thing I can think of that will guarantee views if they just pick up almost entirely where they left off.
maybe they are no longer fuckables in hollywood.
Tara Strong is still pretty smokin' hot...
