Tara Strong currently voices Timmy Turner and something in MLP, so I'm assuming there might be an issue with her contract that's preventing her from working with Cartoon Network.
Except she's Raven; the reason they aren't there is they weren't asked. [editline]10th June 2015[/editline]
"It's too expensive." So are all the failed reboots, Samurai Jack is like, the one thing I can think of that will guarantee views if they just pick up almost entirely where they left off.
The real issue is Genndy is 100% against commercialization of his properties. So something he and CN both own will have issues because CN requires licensing exploitation rights for all their properties after the cartoon cartoon era. Symbionic was canceled for this reason and Generator Rex was cut because the toys weren't selling well, despite the high ratings.
I was hoping they would continue with their new style, looked pretty good and original
i don't really know what people see in this style, i just don't like it much at all
i don't really know what people see in this style, i just don't like it much at all
It's okay. It's innovative and different. But it doesn't feel like Powerpuff Girls at all.
Sigh, i guess samurai jack will never get the ending it deserves. Does CN just pretend it dosent exist anymore or something?
The series has been continuing in comic form. They're pretty good too.
Well she was the only one who was grossed out when kissing the Rowdyruff Boys.
all three of them are 5 years old, i think it's a bit early for anyone to accurately determine their sexual orientation when they haven't even started puber-whY ARE WE TALKING ABOUT THIS????????????
"It's too expensive." So are all the failed reboots, Samurai Jack is like, the one thing I can think of that will guarantee views if they just pick up almost entirely where they left off.
Also Aku's voice actor died. I mean I'd still watch a reboot for sure, but his voice was so good.
Well she was the only one who was grossed out when kissing the Rowdyruff Boys.
Because she's a tomboy? And also because she's like 5 years old and at that stage girls and boys are all like "ew cooties"
Also Aku's voice actor died. I mean I'd still watch a reboot for sure, but his voice was so good.

Because she's a tomboy? And also because she's like 5 years old and at that stage girls and boys are all like "ew cooties"
I wasn't really being serious, just contributing to the goofy "which PPG would become a lesbian" topic.
all that one off special did was emphasize it even moreso, unfortunately it really takes away the 3 main characters' personalities imo and i honestly dont know why
Probably because in the original they were the most round characters and didn't have many sharp edges, and that was sort of the opposite for the special.
Sure the new designs don't deviate too much from the original designs but I feel enough was changed that the designs feels more "Flash-ish" in construction (or whatever animation software CN uses). Also I am disappointed that CN pretty much snubbed the original voice actresses.
I'm glad they are sticking to a style similar to the one from the original. The one in that special episode just seemed to artsy for me and I think even for kids. As for the VAs not being contacted at all. Yeah, it sucks. But at the same time I think there's no harm in giving a chance to new talent. At this point bringing Tara Strong and the rest would be dream come true for people who grew up with it. Unfortunately most of these people are now adults. The new generation of kids won't mind. For example I think Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy are the best Joker and Batman but I won't mind if someone else tackles the role. It all depends on what they bring to the character.
Also Aku's voice actor died. I mean I'd still watch a reboot for sure, but his voice was so good.
Grab the Mako replacement from The Last Airbender. He did good work as Iroh.
So when's the Megas XLR reboot?
It really sucks that they won't have the old cast, but I kinda get it and am still optimistic New, great cartoons like Steven Universe and Adventure time feature kids that are actually voiced BY kids and it's actually worked out pretty well and it gives CN a bit of a cool dynamic. The fact that AT's producer is on board is also really nice to see. I'm definitely gonna watch [editline]10th June 2015[/editline] tbh if i were any of the old cast i would be really heartbroken that i couldn't call myself bubbles or blossom anymore, ugh
I was hoping they would continue with their new style, looked pretty good and original
I like this style, and if it were a different show I'd be all for it. But in this case I'm glad they're sticking with the original look.
Powerpuff Girls is a strange show, not because of the content, but because of who it's aimed at. I don't think anyone knows the demographics. On the surface it looks like a girls show, but then a lot of the content appeals to boys as well.
When we were in grade school all the boys were like "Powerpuff Girls? Pff! That shit's for girls!" but then we all went home and watched it anyway.
So when's the Megas XLR reboot?
Didn't the writers run out of episode ideas?
Honestly, I don't mind the new cast. The voice acting field is sort of hard to get into when you have the same people dominating it for years at a time, so it'll probably be a nice start(?) for these girls. Can't say anything about the writing or whatever else that may get rehashed. But I'm gonna give the girls a chance.

[t]http://i.imgur.com/jTzsIgS.png[/t] It's a shame, but I'm sure the new cast will be just as good.
Didn't the writers run out of episode ideas?
It's been long enough that someone somewhere could come up with something new.
Didn't the writers run out of episode ideas?
From what I know CN cancelled the show.
From what I know CN cancelled the show.
Cancelled the show because apparently it had low ratings later on in the series, enough that CN wanted to cancel it.
When we were in grade school all the boys were like "Powerpuff Girls? Pff! That shit's for girls!" but then we all went home and watched it anyway.
I stopped watching it even before I went to highschool, but then 8 years later, out of nothing, a bunch of guys at college started talking how they still watch it and how great it was :v:
Idk about the other girls but Tara Strong is still doing shitloads of work in that field so I dont mind they got new VAs for this show
I'll be happy as long as it doesn't spawn a weird, noisy and obsessive fan base
I stopped watching it even before I went to highschool, but then 8 years later, out of nothing, a bunch of guys at college started talking how they still watch it and how great it was :v:
That's how college is, from what I've noticed. Everyone plays Pokemon, everyone watches cartoons, everyone buys Lego. It's a weird thing.
So when's the Megas XLR reboot?
Actually they're forbidden from doing anything media related for quite a while; it'll either be in other media or a game.
as long as tom kane comes back to voice the professor i'll be open to the new voice actors. will still be disappointed though
