i dont think it matters when the money is for charity.
Where the money's going is one thing. What I get in return when I get promised something is another. If I just wanted to give money to charity I would just go on make a wish's web page and dump 15 bucks there, and I've done donations like this before.
the bundle is well worth getting, if only for Anachronox
literally one of the best CRPGS ever made, fuckin play it.
It's a bunch of highly rated games in GOTY format that are between 3 and 16 years old, and that all go on sale for like 3 bucks each every two or three months. Human Revolution is on sale for 4 bucks literally right now.
It's really the way they're ordered that bothers me. Deus Ex GOTY is literally priced higher than Hitman Absolution, a game that was released not even two years ago. Not to mention, the $15 tier is not gonna fluctuate in price - this is Square Enix's own pricetag, set on games that are either old or just shit (what the fuck is Kane & Lynch 2 doing here, are they seriously trying to make it look like this game is worth 15 bucks).
They're not saying Kane and Lynch 2 itself is worth 15 bucks, remember it's a BUNDLE. You get 16 games (and more coming) if you buy the whole package, that averages around to less than a dollar per game. For anyone who hasn't owned these games, it's a pretty good deal.
When you forgive its shortcomings compared to its predecessor, Invisible War is actually pretty fun.
When I played it, it was pretty trash. I didn't have much fun with it at all.
But hey, maybe that's just me.
I donated blood and got a cookie at the end. This doesn't mean that I paid for the cookie with my blood
shit i was doing it wrong the whole time
[del]anybody want thief?[/del]
[del]I've posted this in three different threads now and nobody has taken it[/del] - gone
I donated blood and got a cookie at the end. This doesn't mean that I paid for the cookie with my blood
I have a friend who's extremely underweight, but one day during high school when the blood donation van came on by he wanted to donate blood for the pizza, but he normally couldn't because he's underweight. You know what he did? He shoved rocks into his pockets until he was heavy enough to donate blood. No fuckin joke. He passed out in the main building later, but he said it was worth it for the pizza.
anybody want thief?
I've posted this in three different threads now and nobody has taken it
I bet if you just posted a link it'd be gone in seconds.
I'd take it, but I already own a retail copy and I'd feel bad taking it just to have a Steam one.
And honestly, I'd say there's nothing wrong with that. If someone doesn't honestly care about some strangers to donate blood to save them? That's perfectly fine if that's what they believe in. If someone wants to go about their life looking for good deals and never looking back to help anyone, that's their choice and there's nothing wrong with that.
Mind you, this is coming from someone who's donated blood before, given to charity and tips excessively. I honestly think people have the right to be how they want to be and they shouldn't be looked down upon for that.

damn ninjas

Yeah, I went in it and it was totally uninspiring, I couldn't bring myself to enjoy or play it. Maybe I went in with a mindset that it would suck or something though.
I kind of had the same experience with the latest Thief, couldn't get into it.
i'm surprised there isn't any Final Fantasy in the bundle
You get 15 games, including decent to awesome ones for 15$, the money goes to charity, yet people are still upset because of the tier order / one of them suck blah blah.
Complain all you want, that's dirt cheap and it's for a good cause.

Guys guys guys visit my website.
If someone already owns Mini Ninja, may I take it? I've really wanted to play Mini Ninja but already own almost all of the top games.
No Hitman: Blood money?
Luckily I bought that one a long time ago.
Will I enjoy invisible war if I've never played Deus Ex?
And then enjoy Deus Ex more when I play through it?
Will I enjoy invisible war if I've never played Deus Ex?

IV was my first Deus Ex game and I rather enjoyed it, I bet if I played it now I'd hate it though. In my opinion nothing wrong with starting with Invisible War, just don't do it the other way around.

lmao what? I didn't get the memo where square enix promised all nerds 15+ good games for $15
While it's honestly a pretty bad bundle, it's your choice whether you want to buy it and support charity and get a few good games in the process or not.
Humble Bundle basically seems like the place publishers go to dump a library of games which don't sell anymore to get some more publicity to the IP.
i guess the fp hivemind has decided humble bundle is no longer hip or something
[editline]banana[/editline]
lol @ all the people in this thread complaining about humble bundle dumbing my post
i'm surprised there isn't any Final Fantasy in the bundle
Final Fantasy VII is still a huge cash cow for Square Enix, because it's always touted as "BEST GAME EVER," even though it wasn't even impressive for its time. More games added next week, so I'm hoping at least Final Fantasy III will be in there and maybe Last Remnant.
Daikatana is just one of those games that everyone should own.
This is terrible.
Why the fuck is Invisible War on there? Have fun trying to get that piece of shit working modern systems. It doesn't even work for windows 7. It won't even load text most of the time. Even if you do get it running, expect it to crash within 5 minutes.
Also, Midway...Really? It's a good game but...the sequel is already on steam and is much better.
Huh, IW works just fine over here - mind you I've got the gog version.
Will I enjoy invisible war if I've never played Deus Ex?

Basically IW is an above average game for its time, that pales in comparison to DX1 and gets marred by technical issues stemming mostly from coming out on the first xbox (like tiny levels, a few thing with the UI, and one thing I dont mind but lots of people hate - universal ammo)
Most of the people saying "Aw man no Hitman Blood Money" probably already own the game. Its inclusion would add nothing for you.

True, but others deserve to play such a great game.

The THQ and EA bundles were ridiculously good. This is worse than most normal indie bundles. Square Enix is a terrible publisher all around. At least EA is trying to hide their evil doing by doing awesome stuff from time to time like the Origin Bundle, Origin's refund policy, the way they recently dropped support for Sims 2 and games like Mirror's Edge, Mass Effect, etc.
But then 1 2 3 4 5 and the goodwill is gone.
the serious sam bundle was one of the best bundles out there IMHO
i guess the fp hivemind has decided humble bundle is no longer hip or something
so you aren't one of us?
then you DIE
There are so many things wrong with this bundle.
The below-average row is garbage tier. Three of the games are legitimately good, they are however completely obscured by superior sequels (the original thief gets shat all over by thief 2, hitman 1 and 2 aren't nearly as good as blood money) and it's pretty clear they're planning on adding these games later to the above average list, to fuck with people.
The first above-average row has a godawful spinoff, a godawful sequel, and a disappointing sequel.
The second above average row is a fucking joke. THE FIRST FUCKING DEUS EX FOR 12 BUCKS. The game is worth 7 bucks on steam right now. Also Kane & Lynch 2 is garbage, Deus Ex Director's cut is on sale for 4 bucks on steam right now, and Just Cause basically goes on sale for a literally dollar every month.
You could literally just wait for the winter sales and get all of the good or at least decent games in this bundle for like 7 dollars max. Most of these titles regularly go on sale for 2 bucks, and a good portion is throwaway garbage games.
Of course that's not counting the fact you may simply want to buy this to give money to charity but as far as games go this is a pretty raw deal.
Hell, I got Deus Ex for 87 cents a while back. 12 bucks for it is a joke.
You guys gotta stop complaining. If this were a regular service, sure, go ahead, complain that the prices are not at all right. But you're literally donating to charity. If you don't wanna donate and receive some games, alright, your choice, but you're being a dick if you go "I can just by it off steam fuck donating to charity!!!".
You're getting a whole bunch of games for $15, sure, all of them aren't top notch quality, but $15 for 16+ games is a pretty good deal regardless. Stop hating on the bundle because for some reason you decide only two games in the bundle are worth your money. They're not offering two games, they're offering 16 (and more to come). You shouldn't look at Humble Bundle as "I want deals for games", but instead as "I wanna donate to charity and hey, maybe I'll get an incentive as well", because that's what Humble Bundle actually is. If you're concerned that the prices aren't worth your time, go and buy them off Steam.
"Hey, all these games I can find on sale for $5 or less on Steam at random times or winter/summer sales!! They should just make the bundle worth $5 because they go on sale on Steam so often. Pffft." Like really, guys?
