obviously he should have just drank his own piss

False
From what I read in this thread, people don't seem to realise how dangerous a snow storm really is. And since he was found on guys riding snow mobiles, it means he was quite a bit away from civilization. He would've perished within the hour if he left that car. [editline]18th February 2012[/editline] Even if he smashed the window he would have quite a trip in front of him. And being already at least a day without proper food, it would be plain stupid.
You sure?

Left the E4 northwards on a logger's road and struck a dead end. Try to walk that bit through a storm. Besides, it is in most cases suggested to stay in the car unless you've got an immediate rescue.

Plus snow outside. Elbowing from inside of the car is also kinda hard because of the position you can't use quite a lot of your body mass to aid. It's a different story if you're outside though.
Actually it's about 3 weeks.
obviously not
cabin fever, extreme mode

This is mobile network in Finland, by one company. And there's only small dots without it in the nord.
Should be pretty much same than in Sweden.

He wasn't in Siberia, so there could been about 1-2km to nearest house, if even that.
This is from one in sweden: http://www.telia.se/privat/mobilt/mer-om-mobiltelefoni/tackning-hastighet/tackning-mobil-telefoni/tackning-mobil-telefoni.page
Read about this on the news, likely to be fake and he just wants attention, if he was stuck inside his car for 2 months, where'd he get snow from when he claims he's been surviving on snow? Where has he pissed and shat? Theres so many factors in this that doesn't add up
[editline]19th February 2012[/editline]
Ontop of that he was supposedly found near a busy-ish road aswell, where cars were seen driving by when the camera on the news programme showed it
Hm, either way I have my doubts about this. It's been discussed on many Swedish forums that it may be a hoax
yes, he's just in intensive care for no reason

I'm also skeptical about this, especially after that "dad leave son in cold" story.
Why is everyone arguing about breaking windows when it clearly says he survived on eating snow? That means he already had an opening of some sort, likely a window he could roll down at least a bit, to obtain the snow. As many others have said, breaking out is not a main concern when stuck in a frozen wasteland; surviving is.
He may have actually had the means to leave the car the entire time...but what would he do after that? He probably felt that it was in the best interest of his survival to stay in the car (and ultimately, in the end, it was!).

Well there was a road not far away when watching the report on TV as I said :v:
Maybe he could have, yknow, walked onto the road and waved for help unless there was a blizzard/in the middle of the night. There were cars driving on that road plentyful from what I recall
Fucking hell that's endurance.
Chances are he was comatose or sleeping/hibrinating for the most of it

If anything it was him staying in the car trying to keep warm falling into a sleep the cool air slowing his body down waking up every once in a while to grab snow and falling back asleep, eventually to weak to move her just sat there falling in and out of sleep
he was turning into a butterfly :(
That's incredible. It's amazing how people can keep going in conditions like that.
He probably was able to stay somewhat warm because of the snow providing insulation. It's how igloos work, and why often times when you camp out in snow it's better to just set up camp right on top of the snow instead of clearing it because it'll be warmer inside that way.
As from what I've heard he went and trapped him self on purpose, as he was trying to get out there, and die.
He also cut all communication with his family and friends so no one went out and look for him.
