I've already applied and my father, mother, and I are Voyagers No. 89, 90, and 91 respectively. This corresponds to seats 589, 590, and 591. We also received a giant care package courtesy of Virgin. I can't wait. I also didn't do it here, the OP is just ridiculous.
Only if I can fuck a real virgin in zero g!
It's funny because in 50 years we're are going to be like "I can't believe people spent that much money to go to space when we do it every day now..."
People will say "they spent that much on just getting into zero-G atmosphere? I can get to Mars for a fraction of that cost!" Also: OP is an idiot. They want something GARRY'S MOD newsworthy.
the plane with the jet engines flies as high as it can, then it drops the actual ship (the one in the middle) which uses rockets.
Oh, I see now. Thank you.
I will have to declare shenanigans on this one.
I'll be right back to get pics then.
I'll be right back to get pics then.
so you guys paid $600,000 in total to fly on this thing?
so you guys paid $600,000 in total to fly on this thing?
Yes.
if i had a ticket i'd give one to kotick in the hope something would go wrong

Just to be picky: It's not actually zero-g, because gravity at that altitude is 6% less than gravity on the surface. It's actually called free-fall, because orbiting (Or, in this case, sub-orbiting) is falling but moving fast enough for the ground to curve away below you :science:

The law of universal gravitation.
You know, for a split second I thought it was some Virgin Galactic employee offering us tickets.
There's no such thing as zero gravity anyways. The law of universal gravitation.
Stop being so picky about it. Oh no one iota of gravity IT'S NOT REALLY ZERO-G. Yeah we get it Universal gravity but last time I checked an insignificant fraction is still used as 0.
Stop being so picky about it. Oh no one iota of gravity IT'S NOT REALLY ZERO-G. Yeah we get it Universal gravity but last time I checked an insignificant fraction is still used as 0.
That's in space, up there you can say it's zero-g because it's negligible. But the gravity on the ISS or anywhere in orbit is close to 9.6 m/s². That is, it's almost the same. They are not in zero-g, they are free-falling.
Stop being so picky about it. Oh no one iota of gravity IT'S NOT REALLY ZERO-G. And really we aren't ever an a state of zero G, just zero G relative to our immediate surroundings, we're getting pulled to the galactic centre.
I really wish we could all let this thread die...
$200000 doesn't sound that bad.
It's close to nothing in terms of gravity, your science is flawed.
no, where virgin galactic is going is far from having no gravity, you're only feeling like there's no gravity aboard the ship because it's in freefall
[img_thumb]http://www.facepunch.com/fp/emoot/science.gif[/img_thumb] It's SCIENCE
no, where virgin galactic is going is far from having no gravity, you're only feeling like there's no gravity aboard the ship because it's in freefall
No, I'm pretty sure they're doing something different. Those tickets are only about $3000.
This is a little too expensive for the layman, I hope Ryanair throw their hat into the ring and offer up a more reasonably priced service. They could charge extra for oxygen and anti-radiation shielding and make a bundle.
But soon, Richard, along with all of the Virgin franchise will venture into unexplored territory
I lol'd after reading this part. Anyways, this is pretty cool, but don't expect me to come up with $200,000 to pay for a ticket.
No, I'm pretty sure they're doing something different. Those tickets are only about $3000.
orbiting is free-falling.
This is interesting.
Don't feel bad :glomp:
:ohdear: Di- Did you just rape me!? [editline]04:56PM[/editline]
orbiting is free-falling.
sure it is, If your tripping ballz.
:ohdear: Di- Did you just rape me!?
I kinda felt that way when I first say the emote too :ohdear: How about this one: :sympathy: EDIT: Oh God dacryphillic rape what the Christ.
