Haaretz is a leftist circlejerk of a newspaper that's riding on its reputation from a few decades ago. Amnesty international has a known anti israel bias and ignores reality when it fits the situation. For example, the Gaza blockade. Israel ships tons of supplies to Gaza and the blockade is so that a terrorist group dedicating to genocide a whole religion will not have access to weapons that help them achieve their goals. Israel tried giving Hamas concrete for hospitals and homes, Hamas used it for tunnels to dig into Israel to carry out terror attacks. Also, notice how Israel covers 5 pages while Sudan has only 3 pages. Even the actual state of Palestine (Gaza + PLO controlled areas) has less coverage, even when they've actually done worse things than Israel.
Maybe theyou have an anti Israeli bias because of the human rights issues associated with Israel and not because they hate Jews
As someone who has spent time in Lebanon and currently lives in Israel, no. No you would not rather living there than in Israel. Dont assume Wikipedia articles are substitutes for actual experience. Israel isn't just the "nice country in the region", it's a world leading nation in several sectors that surpasses even leading European countries in a variety of different fields. If it werent for our absolute joke of a government, we wouldn't be in this mess to begin with.
I don't get this argument. Nazis were also leading in a whole lot of fields, didn't make them good though.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jordan Jordan is one of the most progressive countries in the Middle East. I'd much rather live there than Israel. Not every country in the Middle East is an oppressive shithole. I'd recommend actually learning about the major countries in the region.
The fact you can only name one nation should be opening your eyes to how wrong that statement is but you're so incredibly blind to this fact. Would you like to justify why you think it's a better place to live than Israel? [editline]26th February 2017[/editline] Freedom House (a non-partisan NGO) only rates Tunisia and Israel as "free" nations in the Middle East only only this year did Jordan move from "not free" to "partially free". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_in_the_World
Well considering how Israel has a tendency to commit war crimes and has a worryingly expansionist policy, I wouldn't exactly call it a shining beacon of humanity. I said I'd rather live in Jordan because, ideologically, I wouldn't want to live in a country like Israel. I named Jordan and Jordan alone because I know it slightly better than other countries in the Middle East. Tunisia also has a freer government, like you said. Jordan is a constitutional monarchy, that's why it wasn't rated as "free". The United States could be "free" but also commit international crimes. From what I can see, Kuwait isn't some hole in the ground either, like you seem to think other Middle Eastern countries are. Not every Arabic country other than Israel is like Syria. The fact that you think that every country in the Middle East that's not Israel will execute people for being gay shows how incredibly blind you are.
