I think this game would cause a shit storm if Jesus was even in it
Yeah, because if it did, then historians worldwide would be in uproar about the greatest historical inaccuracy to date in a Total War game.
Wait, can we prevent the Romans from executing Jesus Christ in this game?
They'll prolly make him an ancillary like many of the famous figures of X time period

That post has so much double meaning, it hurts.

"Have American republicans by the balls during combat"?
You know guys, I think we need another Total War thread in the games section!
Who wants OP?
I hope they make a game called 'Total War' one of these days.
With every unit from every timeline through from the stoneage to the far future.
Kinda like Civ but with better battles.
Try rise of nations, pretty old now but it has what you want.

Let's just wait it out a few weeks and then go nuts.
Make the barbarian factions playable in MP please. I'm not asking for them to be unrealistically powerful and have fake units, but they are not usable in the original because if you happen to end up playing Rome, any Greek faction, or Carthage, you're fucked.

It's like bringing an index finger to a gunfight. You can easily win if you're tactical enough.

Or just one of those news things like in empire, that said "Oh man Captain Kidd has been executed! Here's the story (blah blah blah)"

Kill the general, watch the rest flee. It's what I do. Sometimes, I say "fuck it" and send my whole army straight into the masses to attack their one general unit.
Problem with Shogun 2 is that you can cav snipe their general and watch them kill themselves. Even works in MP...
i kinda hope they keep some of the fantasy fanservice factions like Egypt
historically inaccurate yeah but they were fun to play as.
I better get to play as parthia
I love how the premise of their army was basically that the infantry's job was to die in droves so the cavalry and archers can kill everything that isn't wearing pink. and now with the automatic replenishment, that should be even more viable :V
now imagine that with 10000 troops per side
blot out the sun etc
Hopefully this is as good as the first. I played the hell out of it.

Why wait?
More info on the way or something?
I would like to make the OP. I think I could do it quite well. It would be my first, though.

We don't need a second thread. Just post in the current one if you're so eager.
I hope i'll be able to recreate the one where children are devoured by bears!
Oh my God I can't conceivably describe how excited I am. Total War is me favorite video game series out there and Ancient Rome is such an amazing setting. 2013 is going to be a good year. Probably going to absolutely max out my computer once it comes out so I can get those tens of thousands of soldiers.
Also, if you're so interested, why not post in the existing Total War thread? Making a new thread isn't going to attract hundreds of people, but may as well keep the old one alive, at least until we get some more Rome:II info.
pre order exclusives are perfectly fine, it's just a bonus to help stores get business and sell faster, but yeah you guys are right, fuck big businesses mayun I deserve loads of free content because I'm a gamer

those poor big businesses who barely make any money right
besides, it's not free content if it's included in the game, you pay for the game you get the content
