I'm not gonna defend Kanye here but this stuff is silly, you don't need to be some stemlord fighting against climate change to be important.
not "important", "The greatest person to live in our collective lifetimes"
Kanye is more than a person, more than a rapper, more than an entertainment personality. He is a physical manifestation of humankind's dionysian self. He represents a sense of self-confidence that people are told is dangerous. He is unbound in every sense of the word. Human accomplishments are inevitable, true voices aren't. I love Kanye.
[t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/54123195/gotya.png[/t] Kanye! Whattaya doin' postin' here?
Unless Kanye is secretly an international spy.
Aren't there conspiracy theories about Kanye being involved with the Illuminati? You might be on to something :V
Aren't there conspiracy theories about Kanye being involved with the Illuminati? You might be on to something :V
"what makes you think the illuminati would ever let some niggas in"
Probably should post the rest And most importantly, looks like 2020 has been bumped to 2024
maybe he bumped it to 2024 so he can run on the republican ticket :v:
Look at that hover-hands-type gangsta rep.
Well Trump is a gangster at heart, he made a deal with the crowned prince of the Philly Mob in '84.
I love it how Kanye can say some mean things and acts like he actual has a social problem. While people like conor mcgregor can talk shit about everyone and is a genuine dick head to everyone in his industry but everyone loves and supports him.
but do stem cell scientists have their own clothing line? no
yeezy x trump collab
Hey I remember this guy, did that one song I liked back in high school. But it wasn't actually his original song it was a daft punk remix.
Calm down, buddy. No one's saying someone stole from someone. It's just a remix.
its actually called sampling, which kanye was a real progenitor of in hip-hop
I don't think a giraffe could get thier head as far up your ass as yours currently is.
i mean you're the one getting hot and bothered over his pretty funny post
Yeah just like how Daft Punk remixed someone elses song. Guess it's a remix of a remix of an Edwin Birdsong. You genuinely have to be a difficult person to post shit like this. This seriously brings me back to the obnoxious Daft Punk fans claiming Kanye stole their song when Daft Punk sampled someone elses song to make the same song in question. Seriously you can do this with anything and any other rapper and it would be annoying as fuck. Hell if you did this to Daft Punk as an Edwin fan it would still be annoying as hell. It's just genuinely an obnoxious and annoying thing to do
It seems you're misinterpreting my post as a swing at his originality which isn't the case. My point was simply that the only work I've really enjoyed of his turned out to be a remix of another artist's sound. The fact that it was a copy of a copy doesn't really change anything.
That is literally a swing at his originality
No it's not. It's an opinion. Saying "I like this song but was disappointed that it was actually a remix of a better song." doesn't mean I'm attacking the artist's originality.
Put him back in the mental hospital until he stops supporting Trump.
Joking or not this post is a little scary.

The fact that it was a copy of a copy doesn't really change anything.
it's not a copy, daft punk literally worked with him on the sampling this is actually a case of you being ignorant about how hip hop tends to work. the greatest rappers/producers of all time use samples from all around to create beats, its not copying
its actually called sampling, which kanye was a real progenitor of in hip-hop
It's not sampling any more when it's the majority of the song. Kanye ALSO does a lot of sampling but that daft punk video is a flat-out remix, not sampling. Not that it's any less of a legitimate piece as a remix, but still.
It's not sampling any more when it's the majority of the song. Kanye ALSO does a lot of sampling but that daft punk video is a flat-out remix, not sampling. Not that it's any less of a legitimate piece as a remix, but still.
wrong wish i quoted the pre edit
wrong
Great argument. No, not wrong. Literally a remix.
A remix is a piece of media which has been altered from its original state by adding, removing, and/or changing pieces of the item. A song, piece of artwork, book, video, or photograph can all be remixes. The only characteristic of a remix is that it appropriates and changes other materials to create something new.

To create a new version of (a recording) by recombining and re-editing the elements of the existing recording and often adding material such as new vocals or instrumental tracks: remixed a popular ballad and turned it into a dance hit.
there is nothing wrong with remixes but that is what it is.
I was going to comment on you mentioning VR tech but you deleted it. If you think anyone besides a couple people in the gaming community care about VR than you are sadly mistaken. Especially when you include curing aids in the same sentence. Hell I have a VR headset and even I don't care.
The point was that deifying someone while there are people saving lives and developing technology applicable to the first world (to have a less abstract point than someone saving lives a million miles away; most people are likely to know what VR is and it's a tech that's applicable to people on this forum) is ridiculous.
Vibrating Dildos are applicable to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd world your point is shit. You can deify anyone you want (Which is a dumb thing to do anyway) but you thinking deifying a guy making VR is any better is the real ridiculous notion.
I don't think that deifying anybody is a good idea, but I think that deifying someone like Kanye while people exist that are doing much more for the world is retarded. There was a reason I snipped that part of the post, it was a weakly-worded point.
Does anyone outside of the US actually give a fuck?
it's not a copy, daft punk literally worked with him on the sampling this is actually a case of you being ignorant about how hip hop tends to work. the greatest rappers/producers of all time use samples from all around to create beats, its not copying
I don't see how working with the original creators makes it any less of a copy.

Remixed/copied/sampled/collab'd/covered whatever you want to call it is beside the point, which was that it was not an original piece by Kanye (I'm aware it's also not originally Daft Punk's song). My only point is that I was giving Kanye undue credit for the song.
