Why does America care THAT much about Texas, they're like that shard of metal stuck in someone's brain that made that person retarded
We're the only state that was it's own nation, and due to that we are allowed to fly our flag at the same height of the US flag and can secede without consequence at any time. We can support ourselves in almost every area of economy, and we're the second largest state. Yeah, you can fuck off. And in addition to the above post about oil, first helium wells located in the Panhandle of Texas.
You know when the civil war was going on, Texas wasn't a state of the United States? Plus, we were fighting ourselves. This is just a cartel issue, so its not with the US. And Texas wasn't apart of the union nor confederacy.
Look again. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_in_the_American_Civil_War
I don't think it would be a Civil war if the two factions are from different countries.
What's so civil about war, anyways?
Excuse me but if they're crossing our border with GUNS and recruiting from our schools and prisons why the fuck haven't we shot them yet?
I live extremely close to the border and I have yet to see illegal immigrants recruiting people.
i wish america could just put two and two together here and legalize drugs. same with mexico.
They should just place the National Guard all over the border and shoot on sight. There's no other effective way to stop this, unless something done is about drugs and legalization
Keep in mind that some illegal immigrants aren't involved with gangs and drug cartels. It's the reason why they go into America.
What's so civil about war, anyways?
The fact that it's a war between civilians in a nation makes it a civil war. Also, Texas did pretty much the least in the Civil War as a confederate state. Actually it's not really even a civil war considering they're Mexican.
i wish america could just put two and two together here and legalize drugs. same with mexico.
Drugs are somewhat legal in Mexico. Just enough for possession.
terrible idea so just murder everyone who attempts to cross the border?
It's not like they won't have signs (and probably a fence) warning you to stay the fuck out of the killzone.
It's not like they won't have signs (and probably a fence) warning you to stay the fuck out of the killzone.
what if it's dark out, or they just don't come across a sign because it's a huge fucking expanse of land.
It's not like they won't have signs (and probably a fence) warning you to stay the fuck out of the killzone.
I don't think the signs would be put in every single possible location. Even if there are signs everywhere, I find "crossing the border" it to be a terrible reason to kill a person. Especially, if they're attempting to stay away from criminal activity.
stupidly misleading thread title ahoy
Why does America care THAT much about Texas, they're like that shard of metal stuck in someone's brain that made that person retarded
Texas is one of the only states that accually can support itself if it ceded, it has major oil drills, and even computer hardware factories.
I thought this thread was going to be about Texas seceding from America or something. And that would concern me very much considering I live in the deepest darkest part of Texas and I think Texas seceding from America would be a very very bad idea.
I wonder if we asked, if Mexico would let us go into their territory on the border to root out these bastards. They're in such a worse position as us, why aren't we having any joint American-Mexican forces working in concert to get this problem settled? Southern Mexico is virtually an independent nation these days under the control of the drug cartels. Surely letting America fix up the issue in the north would take one "front" away in this Mexican Civil War?
Texas is one of the only states that accually can support itself if it ceded, it has major oil drills, and even computer hardware factories.
Air Force training base, NASA control center, Computer companies, Oil, 4th biggest port in the US, relatively cheep housing. Considering California (pretty much our biggest "rival") is doing pretty shitty right now, I'd say were an awesome state if you can get past all the religious fundamentalists and crazy republicans. There needs to be more cooperation between us if we want anything done about the Cartels, that's a given.
Considering California (pretty much our biggest "rival") is doing pretty shitty right now
pff we beatin your ass our economy is bigger plus we got crips and bloods so don't ride up on us you know what i'm sayin
Possibly. Maybe if we weren't caught up in two shitty wars already. There needs to be more cooperation between us if we want anything done about the Cartels, that's a given.
We need to focus more on our domestic affairs than the affairs of others. I don't see how we can settle the issues of Afghanistan when we're virtually at war in our own territory. :sigh:
Why does America care THAT much about Texas, they're like that shard of metal stuck in someone's brain that made that person retarded
Fun fact: The computer you are using would not be possible had it not been for a Texan
Fun Fact: St. Vincent and id Software are from Texas. Texas can stay.
It's not like they won't have signs (and probably a fence) warning you to stay the fuck out of the killzone.
so illegal immigration should be punishable by death? and emperor, why are you justifying murder? how dare those silly brown people try to provide a better life for their family. let's just shoot them all!
so illegal immigration should be punishable by death? and emperor, why are you justifying murder? how dare those silly brown people try to provide a better life for their family. let's just shoot them all!
So you are JDK. [editline]18th November 2010[/editline] And I'm pretty sure Emperor is talking about waging war against the cartels which seems pretty justified considering they decapitate innocent people and shoot up police stations among other crimes.
And I'm pretty sure Emperor is talking about waging war against the cartels which seems pretty justified considering they decapitate innocent people and shoot up police stations among other crimes.
go back to the first thread and read my post that he disagreed with.
So you are JDK. [editline]18th November 2010[/editline] And I'm pretty sure Emperor is talking about waging war against the cartels which seems pretty justified considering they decapitate innocent people and shoot up police stations among other crimes.
'waging a war' against the cartels is still a bad idea.
go back to the first thread and read my post that he disagreed with.
Ok, shooting on sight won't help a damn thing. [editline]18th November 2010[/editline]
'waging a war' against the cartels is still a bad idea.
Knowing our track record with small militarized guerrilla groups, probably. We should probably just, you know, make it easier and faster to become a legal citizen so jumping the boarder didn't seem like a good idea. That make it so fewer honest people looking for a good home were jumping, making it more likely that the group of people you catch are trying to do some kind of illegal activity.
Ok, shooting on sight won't help a damn thing.
tell that to the conservative patriots in this thread because they seem to think it would be a good idea
so illegal immigration should be punishable by death? and emperor, why are you justifying murder? how dare those silly brown people try to provide a better life for their family. let's just shoot them all!
Drug Cartels =/= Illegal immigration. Good job, strawman, good job.
silly brown people
Why must you turn everything into a race issue? This has nothing to do with race, this is about keeping an out of control drug war from spilling into the US.
tell that to the conservative patriots in this thread because they seem to think it would be a good idea
I love how the only people who would disagree with you on this issue must be conservative patriots. Jesus Christ JDK stop being such a douche about every issue. You are not always right.
