Man, I just took a huge nostalgia trip looking at that picture of the original Xbox on page 1. I remember lugging that hulk around in a suitcase to Halo parties: It weighed a ton, but I was never worried about breaking it.

yeah you didn't have to worry about breaking it because it would break itself eventually
I'm sticking with my PS3
And Kinect, just like Move and the Wii are pointless to me.
ITT people raging at microsoft because they release a new version. When you buy a pc, there's a new version in a month. So why are you raging over this, but not over that?
Also, it's just an upgraded version. Smaller, quieter, smaller chance to RROD ( what's the chance?).
RROD only happens to idiots. They play it too long while blocking the fans.
[QUOTE=Diet Kane;23198246]Better hardware, you say?

You could throw the damn thing across the room and it would be fine.
oh no micro$oft are making their brick of a console smaller and more portable, they are milking it! :downs:
[QUOTE=hypno-toad;22627836]I wish the Xbox would go back to being an impenetrable, reliable brick of a console.

Had mine for 4 years without a single problem. Not the case with my 360 :frown:
They should come out with an xbox 360 "juggernaut" :v:
They made the 360 too small and too portable,a t the sacrifice of the technology and reliability. Back in the day, the xbox was a monster of a system. the next one should be huge, powerful, and cheap. The choice you had between the PS2 and Xbox was that the PS2 was small, portable, and quiet, and the xbox was big, loud, ugly, and blew the PS2's graphics out of the water. I want that again.[/QUOTE]
This.
My old original Xbox is still working perfectly fine, with no problems at all; I've had to send my 360 in twice to get it repaired (though only the first was a RROD)

because a console is a console and a pc is a pc
plus whenever you upgrade a pc, you don't just add a bigger hard drive, get a shiny case, and superglue your hard drive to the motherboard
[editline]penis[/editline]
and add motion detection
[editline]vagina[/editline]
and paint it black
People keep calling it the "Xbox 360 Slim" and that's causing a lot of confusion. It's only a fraction smaller, the point of it was to upgrade the hardware, not make it the size of a book.
Also fucking cut out that glossy bullshit. That type of plastic is a MAGNET for fingerprints. Seriously.

Glossy is the electronic industry fad. Almost all new laptops are also glossy, attracting every dust particle and drop of finger oil within a 10 mile radius.
Glossy monitors are the worst thing ever, and they are becoming way too common. I don't want to see my entire room reflected around the fucking screen, nor do I want to see your blue LED power indicator blinking on and off for eternity.
If it said "Won't RROD anymore" I'd maybe buy it.

It's physically impossible for it to RROD, since it has no red lights. :pseudo:
Not sure if this has been mentioned or not, but the Xbox 360 arcade costs $150, BUT that $150 includes a $50 gift card, so you technically get the Xbox 360 for $100
Just got it. Fucking sexy, Packaged a lot better. I also used the paging to make sure the bottom doesnt get fucked with its new surface.
