Well there ain't much information on it (or it's hidden away), and it's also not displayed on a frequent basis in the common media.
Also even some homosexuals and bisexuals mock transsexuals, because they think they're "holding them back"
It's all LGBT, until one of them becomes a burden according to the rest, then one of them is on their own.

Trust me when I say we have to deal with them forgetting the "T" in "LGBT" ALL the time.
I expected some sort of slightly good looking woman.
Then I remember we were talking about politics and everyone EVER in politics is ugly.
Cuba is a really nice place. A lot of my family emigrated there in the late 30s because of the war too. I've been there 3 times and I can't say I've had anything but good experiences. Perfect place to chill at the beach with your cigar also :v:

Impossible! Cuba is a communist hellhole! It's totally not because of incredibly stupid Cold War grudges we don't let people go there right? Right?

Nah just kidding, I'm sure it's nice. It just gets a bad rap from retards who think we're still in Cold War times. I've never been out of the country, actually. I want to sometime, though. Does Europe have any exceptionally nice areas that's fun to visit and isn't a tourist trap? (sorry if this is a derailment of the thread, I'm just wondering).

How about if you still consider him a man, call him a he. If you consider her a woman, call her a woman. Calling her/him an it is pretty disrespectful. And I agree the quotes were pretty uncalled for.
This isn't entirely directed at your post but every post arguing about this.

Its also respectful to address them by their desired gender.

I'm talking about on a forum, if I had to speak to them face to face of course I would use their desired gender, but if I consider their gender their actual sex and I find it more comfortable to speak about them that way I will when its appropriate, like on a forum or to a friend. And it may be respectful to address them by their desired gender, but they also have to respect my opinion that I still consider them whatever their original gender was, and as long as I don't abuse that fact that I consider them their original gender I think its alright. But again, only my opinion.

Why would you refer to a person by their physical sex and not their gender identify? A person is a conscious entity, not a body part that determines their biological sex.

Coming from one of the most transphobic people I've seen on FP without being just "lmao they're men kill ur self!!!" who happens to rear his head into evey single thread about trans stuff, you posing this makes me incredibly proud of you.
(This wasn't meant to be insulting, other then some stuff about you, like the slight bigotry every now and then, I don't mind you.)
Yeah I wasn't transphobic I was just really stupid.
Atleast you realize your ignorance and(I assume) have taken steps to fix it.
Anyway on topic: This is really good, not surprising from Cuba, but it is a large step forward nonetheless.

You do realize this logic can be applied to someone who wants to refer to someone by their sex and not their gender because its easier for them. Whats the downsides of being respectful to them, making them comfortable, is it that hard?
I'm just saying, for some people its easier to refer to by sex and not gender, if you can understand why a transsexual wants to be the opposite sex, surely you can understand that some people find it difficult to understand why you would want to be the opposite sex. After all, it's not natural or too common, its not what we were raised to believe, its not well received by less empathetic people, and so on. I do realize I have been repeating the point over and over somewhat, and I am hoping you understand it. And that means just like I have to respect someones decision to switch gender, I also have to respect peoples opinion to want to call someone by their sex and not gender when speaking about said someone in general. These two things might be on the opposite sides of the spectrum, but the same logic can be applied. After all, a lot is about being comfortable.

I don't know why you are expecting us to be content with this kind of behavior against transgender people, a minority that is heavily discriminated against.
People want to be referred to by the gender they identify themselves as. Doing otherwise while being aware of their gender identity is extremely disrespectful. It's as simple as that.
I fail to understand why others don't understand this argument, it seems that you are interpreting calling a transgender by their sex is meant to be discriminatory, this is not what I am intending at all. If I am giving off the vibe I don't like or am uncomfortable with transgenders I am sorry because it is not true. I am saying that for some people its more comfortable to call a transgender by their sex and not their gender. I fail to understand why I can't call the transgender by their sex if it makes me comfortable, but someone can change their gender to make them comfortable and suddenly everyones condolences go out to them. I don't understand why you understand someones reasoning for being transgender but can't understand why it can be much easier to address by sex and not gender. I will give an example that is not based around my opinion towards transgenders, so don't get mad at me for this. So to put it bluntly, If I have to tolerate and be comfortable with someone changing their gender, then they have to tolerate and be comfortable with the fact that it is easier for me to call them by sex, exactly how it is easier for them to change their gender. I do hope you understand where I am coming from, but I can also understand if you don't.

Now I assume that you are a guy. Imagine that someone thought you looked like a girl and referred to you as one. You correct this person by telling him that you are a guy but he decides to keep referring to you as a girl anyways with the explanation that it makes him more comfortable to do so.
Would you not feel disrespected by this?

Unless you're calling everyone you see "male" or "female" (which is not recommended) when you don't use their names, you'll probably be referring to them by gender-specific pronouns. That's gender, not sex. A transgendered person may be biologically one sex, but have a gender identity as a different gender than is normally associated with that sex, so we use the proper pronouns for that gender.
This person may be male, but she is a woman. Sex is a biological concept, gender is a social identity.

Well, I've only been in France and Italy in Europe, as well as most of Spain since I live here. It depends on what you are looking for. If you like hardcore parties, and I mean HARDCORE, go directly to Ibiza. It's also a great place for foreigners since half the people there are tourists from all over Europe looking for a good time :v:
If you like sightseeing I'd go to France. Though, I don't really know if we are too damn poor in Spain or everything is expensive as fuck in France.
But aside from that it's a great place with lots of history and amazing art museums as well as restaurants. Is it a tourist trap? Well, I've seen some people getting ripped off the second they spoke in another language or with an accent, but keep in mind, these are just some people. Most of them will treat you nicely, just be careful of cab drivers and shady barmen :v:
And Italy. Well, I can't say much about Italy since I mostly went to the beaches and suburban areas, but I can tell you that Italy is damn beautiful. I have a weakness for sunny places like Italy, moreso with the bigass olive gardens in the background. It's a sight that just makes you feel free. Also, if you ever go to Morocco, you should either bring lots and lots of money or really good running skills. Vendors in Morocco will literally trap you in unless you buy them something. My brother and I went there 4 years ago. We were walking by the markets in Marrakech and we looked at a rug that some guy was selling. He went into full euphoria mode like we just saved his entire family from hungry hyenas and just didn't let us leave untill we bought it. Literally. Not even kidding, he invited us to his house and gave us some tea untill we eventually got the bloody thing :v:
I'm planning to visit Norway, Sweden and Holland in the future since I've heard lots of good things about those places. Fucking love travelling.
Hope I could help, lots of luck!
