Panel clears "Climategate" scientists of all wrongdoing
i want you to post and acknowledge that all of your points are being debunked gmod, in every single global warming thread, the deniers are always debunked, and they just ignore it, and stop posting until the next global warming thread, when they post the same crap they did the last time
They never reply after you shut them down, it's the same crap every time. We'll go on debunking them over and over and it'll never make a difference because they don't care about science, it's all about belief. Nothing we tell them is gonna make them go "oh I was wrong".
Global consensus between climatologist > Gmod_Fan777

no I'm going to PM him if he doesn't respond. he's one of the more reasonable people on this forum, he'll come around if pressed

Are we talking about the same person here? I thought gmod_fan was pretty much the opposite of that
Umm, yes it is. The planet is constantly going through heating and cooling phases...
It is, but humans are definitely pushing it along.
Whether this is all us, or mostly nature, is up to debate.

It's not up to debate among climate scientists.
It's not up to debate among climate scientists.
I think it's a mix of both natural cycle and man-made causes.
I think it's a mix of both natural cycle and man-made causes.
Oh for fucks sake :psyduck:
It doesn't matter what you think, you're wrong. This isn't something you can be like "this is my opinion". There's a global consensus among climatologists that it's not a mix, and you're wrong for thinking so.
I think it's a mix of both natural cycle and man-made causes.
What natural cycle do you think it is? Name it.
where did this "natural cycle" nonsense come from
it's so dumb it makes my head hurt when people mention it
where did this "natural cycle" nonsense come from

Because the big graph shows Milankovitch cycles.
leave it to the local FP conservatives Ridge, Gmod_Fan, and KMM to disagree with thousands of scientists
What natural cycle do you think it is? Name it.
Conservatives expelling vast amounts of hot air into the atmosphere
I think it's a mix of both natural cycle and man-made causes.
And I think you're an idiot. The difference is, my opinion is based on evidence.
I want everyone in this thread to stop right now, and watch every single one of these videos.
On the bright side, I guess all the greenhouse gases weve created helped plug that hole in the o-zone layer that was supposed to destroy all life about 10-15 years ago, right?
Make up your mind!
Not enough o-zone = everything cooked alive
Too much o-zone = everything cooked alive
Oh dude just no.
And when I said feel I meant my opinion based on the evidence, CO2 and methane are having an effect on temperatures.
I CAN'T STAND IT, l KNOW YOU PLANNED IT
BUT I'M GONNA SET IT STRAIGHT, THIS CLIMATEGATE
I CAN'T STAND ROCKIN WHEN I'M IN HERE
BECAUSE YOUR CRYSTAL BALL AIN'T SO CRYSTAL CLEAR
SO WHILE YOU SIT BACK AND WONDER WHY
I GOT THIS FUCKIN THORN IN MY SIDE
OH MY GOD, IT'S A MIRAGE
I'M TELLIN Y'ALL IT'S SABOTAGE
Wat.
I think Kagrenak said it best:
The graph has a timelapse of hundreds of thousands of years, 60 years won't make a difference.
Yes the climate changes naturally - over the course of thousands of years
No, it does not change naturally in 40 years, conveniently at the time of mass polluting factories.
someone is going to come into this thread and post "it's a natural cycle" again without reading a single post and i'm just going to kill myself

And you thought he was gonna admit to being wrong :saddowns:
Hey ridge
Ozone : O3
Carbon Dioxyde : CO2
[editline]05:17PM[/editline]
it's a natural cycle
Okay look, I'm now really confused. Is it a naturally fluctuation that occurs every few centuries or are we, we meaning humanity, causing this?
Okay look, I'm now really confused. Is it a naturally fluctuation that occurs every few centuries or are we, we meaning humanity, causing this?
We are. It's agreed upon by nearly every climatologist and major climatological associations that Global Warming is Anthropogenic.
I don't get why people think it's a cycle. Before we started making factories and cars etc, the emissions of co2 etc were balanced by nature, now we're fucking all that up.
We are. It's agreed upon by nearly every climatologist and major climatological associations that Global Warming is Anthropogenic.
Okay, I'm just double checking....Because there is a cycle, but I know we're probably throw that all off.
I don't see how people could think that putting greenhouse gases into the atmosphere isn't going to do anything.
I mean just that by itself is pretty much undeniable, not to mention how much we pump out and all the other scientific data that's been collected.
Okay, I'm just double checking....Because there is a cycle, but I know we're probably throw that all off.
Right. There's no cycle that can account for global warming. The graph deniers like to post, as has been said, shows something called Milankovitch cycles, but there's two problems there:
1. Milankovitch cycles take place over many thousands of years, not a century.
2. The current Milankovitch cycle is actually on the downswing, so if anything we should be getting colder. People aren't speeding up the cycle, we're contradicting it entirely.

But technically, if the jet stream in the Atlantic, if its cooled by the ice melting in the north could lead to an even more dramatic cooling.
