Are you 9?
I remember having PE every day from grade 1 to grade 9. After that it became elective.
[editline]04:43PM[/editline]
Protip: it doesn't do anything to help people lose weight. Our gym teacher was like 280 pounds for god's sake
PE in my school is terrible.
Sure some people work up a sweat, but those people are already fit. The people who do need the workout are sitting around, barely trying.
Sounds good to me. It's scary to see how many fat little kids there are at my sisters school.
maybe if parents taught their kids good eating habits maybe kids would not be so fat?!?!?!@#?!@?#!@?#!?@$%?!@#$?
So they think I must be punished with higher prices because other people are fat???
I fucking love Pizza goddammit :argh:
So I must be punished with speed limits just because other people can't drive good at high speeds?
I fucking love driving down the highway at 170 goddammit :argh:

Driving over the speed limit risks the lives of other people around you.
Being fat doesn't risk the lives of anyone else, unless you somehow trip and crush someone, that is.
Amazing how the government have to step in to keep people from becoming fat fucks. Have these people no common sense or self respect whatsoever?
Legalize Cannabis, tax The hell out of it.
Also, tax the hell out of snack foods.
Economic crisis is over.
Hey I got a better idea: How about fast food companies stop using the cheapest ingredients possible and how about a rise in the manufacture of healthy foods to bring the asininely high prices down.
Seems like they are advocating for a sin tax similar to what is placed on alcohol, tobacco, and cigarrette products.
They'd probably do better by encouraging better growing practices. It'll still cost more but it'll be much more healthy and useful in the long run.
Great they can take more of our money.
Hey guys lets tax Cigarettes and Tobacco too!, that'll stop People from smoking!.
Oh wait.
Lower the costs of fucking organic and healthy food.
No mang fuck self control! God forbid all the obese fucks in the country get off their asses and actually get in shape.
if they can tax cigarettes they can tax this
not a big deal
Soda is understandable, but the pizza where i work is fucking godlike and taxing it will be a sin.
Amazing how the government have to step in to keep people from becoming fat fucks. Have these people no common sense or self respect whatsoever?
It's because companies are using cheaper ingredients (like high-fructose corn syrup as I mentioned) to maximize profit, at the cost of healthiness.
How about you stop eating so much you fatties
EIGHTEEN percent? Jesus fucking christ.
Hey I got a better idea: How about fast food companies stop using the cheapest ingredients possible and how about a rise in the manufacture of healthy foods to bring the asininely high prices down.
This makes sense, therefor it would never happen as it would lower profit margins.
No more tips for my waiters if this happens sadly.
I guess people are gonna be paying the price for their obesity. xD
I don't like this idea at all. Why should I pay more because people are fat. And it is a dumb idea to tax particular kinds of foods but not others. Really, this just seems like a way to levy a tax.
I guess people are gonna be paying the price for their obesity. xD
More like paying the price for the general public's obesity.
Laughter is the best medicine, but the US doesn't have universal healthcare so you have to pay for it.
100 Internets to you sir for making me laugh irl.
Do this, legalize pot to give everyone the munchies, economic troubles over
Yeah man, lets just tax things we don't like. Great idea.
While we're at it, lets tax everything you like.
Researches say that if you if you make an item more expensive then less people will want it, thus reducing the number of people suffering the consequences said item will give.
[editline]09:06PM[/editline]
How the fuck is that even research.
Or, instead of dicking with our so called "free market" they could add a mandatory 1 hour of PE in schools each day. Healthy food doesn't matter if you don't burn calories. I don't want to pay more for my coke n' cookies because 1/3 of the nation doesn't move regularly.
Where the fuck do you go to? My school has Gym class all the time.
Healthy food does matter, you either
A Lower Calorie Intake
B Exercise more
or
C Do both (most effective)
Diet is just as bad, if not worse.
Really, I doubt this will do anything, no matter how high the tax, for the rate of consumption of unhealthy food. It will, however, bring in a monstrous amount of money in taxes.
Really, how so? Bullshit sources saying "it might give you cancer" do not count unless they can prove it causes cancer with odds less than 1 out of 10 million.
Oh yeah if pizza is 30$ I'm sure the fatties just keep on eating. Win-win, money for the government or less fatties.

Supply and demand, it's taught in the 2nd grade, yet most people here seem to lack the understanding towards it.

Yeah, go politicans.
Tell people what they can and can't eat!

Yes increase the price of the only decently priced food out there because some people got fat off of it so all the food will be asininely expensive in a fucked over economy.
