Welp, might as well celebrate Trump's short-term victory up until the brokered convention.
Losing is not losing anymore according to Bernie people. I get you're bummed that he lost, but you don't have to lie to yourself that he won. It's not healthy.
I'll admit any day that it's more than very likely he'll lose the nomination. But it's kinda objective fact that tonight's victor is still unknown.
I can't stand how CNN only shows 2 minutes of Bernie's speech, but Hillary has been on for like 10 minutes now.
It's no different from a bunch of news channels opting to show Trump's empty podium in anticipation of his speech, rather than show Sanders' ACTUAL speech that had been happening at the same time. Big names news channel coverage of elections is such a joke honestly.
Even the best predictions for Trump are only giving him roughly 1245 delegates, while many other estimates are well below the 1237 threshold. The Republican nomination will almost certainly be the result of a contested convention now.
He lost one state that barely has the results from tonight coming in, and is predicted to sweep the next two. Not quite a loser.
yeah man you can make anyone sound like a winner if you just ignore all the many times they lost
I acknowledged the loss in AZ, I expected it lmao. But your shilling of Trump and open ended calling a loser of Sanders, while in reality he'll leave tonight with a net gain of delegates, is just stupid.
We were talking about Arizona, he lost Arizona. So that makes him the loser in Arizona. If you want to talk about the primaries as a whole you could also apply the term, "loser", to Sanders since he only has a little over half of what Clinton does. Saying I'm glad a candidate won doesn't make me a shill. I get you need to resort to name calling but you're supposed to save that when you don't know how to respond to facts I throw at you.

Snip
I'm curious what new round of denial and false hope the Bernie camp will use after this.
i voted for him but even i'm not going to delude myself and try to twist things; Bernie's chances are slim and getting even slimmer with each primary, and i doubt the whole superdelegate bullshit is going to make it any better.
I'm curious what new round of denial and false hope the Bernie camp will use after this.
Who the fuck gives a shit? If Bernie supporters want to have hope, why not fucking let them?
Hey guys remember, Kansas for 50 years has always chosen the democratic nominee!
Who the fuck gives a shit? If Bernie supporters want to have hope, why not fucking let them?
It's unhealthy and they are only hurting themselves. They need to get realistic. The smart ones have already noticed the futility.
I hope Trump makes the Republican primary, the guy is hated nationwide. Also fun fact: abolishing corporate taxes doesn't create jobs. I've asked economists and political scientists on the matter and they all say it's a falsehood. So you can say all you want about your lord and savior Trump, but his policies on taxes don't work. Even the International Monetary Fund disagrees with trickle down economics. http://www.imf.org/external/pubs/cat/longres.aspx?sk=42986.0
This is going to be so entertaining
It's unhealthy and they are only hurting themselves. They need to get realistic. The smart ones have already noticed the futility.
How is it harming them?
It's unhealthy and they are only hurting themselves. They need to get realistic. The smart ones have already noticed the futility.
So with that logic, Cruz supporters should drop and so should Kasich supporters? Never mind believing in the candidate you want to win, but nope, just because it isn't blatantly realistic to you think they should drop out? I remember in 2008 everyone thought this one Black guy should have dropped out because he was losing bad to Clinton. I forgot his name.
And rest assured that the Republicans will do whatever they can to steal the majority of his delegates and crown either Cruz or Kasich as the nominee.
I'm not sure what this even means. They won't be stealing his delegates by giving the rest of the delegates to someone else.
I was about to ask the same question. How does it make them unhealthy for supporting someone that they love? You could basically say the same thing for Trump supporters.
So with that logic, Cruz supporters should drop and so should Kasich supporters?
How is it harming them?
Have you seen how the Bernie camp reacts to these things? That amount of anger and anguish towards not getting their way can't be good for you, not to mention how unethical it is for Bernie Sanders to keep accepting donations from his already relatively low earning voter base (I'm referring to students in particular).
It's unhealthy and they are only hurting themselves. They need to get realistic. The smart ones have already noticed the futility.
What the fuck are you even talking about? It's "unhealthy"? It's hurting them? Bernie still has a fucking chance if he can get the big(er) liberal states such as New York and Pennsylvania, and then win in California. it's not unrealistic to have hope for a candidate to fucking win and it doesn't hurt ANYONE. The only reason he wouldn't have a chance is because of people like you who call it futile to hope for a presidential candidate that isn't complete shit.

It's a horrible echo chamber.
I'm not sure what this even means. Wystan has to be trolling at this point.
Saying "we lost but didn't actually lose" is unhealthy. Facing reality is a good thing.
Yeah, like how smashed trump is going to get in Utah.
Honestly Obama did pretty badly in the primaries yet still clenched the Democratic nomination
