Rats of that size have appeared in Switzerland from time to time too. Never seen one though.
I read that as "rats of the size of Switzerland" Now that would be terrifying

Mother of fucking god. What radioactive waste morphed this dude into a beast?
That is a cazador dude
Actually it's known as a Tarantula Hawk Wasp. Its job is to fly around and fuck up tarantulas, laying an egg inside them and when it hatches the maggot eats the spider alive from the inside out.

We see that shit in DC all the time
Christ, if that happened in my neighborhood here in the States my neighbours would have heard a lot of swearing followed by several gunshots :v:
I am not sure if I am happy about it fucking over tarantulas or fucking scared how horrible it is.
Tarantulas are actually awesome. The species native to North America are generally very docile and have venom too weak to do anything harmful unless you're allergic to other venoms, such as bee stings. The females stay burrowed pretty much all their lives, and the males only live 2-3 years after maturation and only have one purpose in life: Find dat booty.
That's not a rat, it's a goddamn Skaven. [editline]27th March 2014[/editline]
I would not be scared really, rats don't get that big often, it's usually some gene change just like gigantism in humans which is rare, this massive rat trap has to be for some different kind of a rodent or animal. Otherwise you'd hear about giant rats more often in the news.
This is the standard size of rats in Beijing that live to adulthood, and we are hearing more about it in the news.
Wouldn't mind a tame one of those as a pet. I like rats :)
eugh, imagine that noise that rat trap made when it killed it
Obviously you read it this way, American education after all.
No I just skim read too fast
RPGs have taught me that this is how adventures start
"By the time I got home, the rat was so domesticated that it just sat under the kitchen table,"
:( [editline]28th March 2014[/editline]
RPGs have taught me that this is how adventures start
Real life has taught me that I should never leave my house without a flamethrower from now on
Freaking Lovecraft wasn't lying.
It is the first signs of the apocalypse, no one uses horses anymore so god resigned to a rat instead, you'll see.
It is the first signs of the apocalypse, no one uses horses anymore so god resigned to a rat instead, you'll see.
Four ratmen of the apocalypse?
My dad has actually encountered a rat of this size years ago, he's an electrician and during one of his assignments he and a colleague went underneath of a old hospital into a rather dark service corridor. He told me he had heard something and when he looked towards the far end of the hallway he could see two big glowing eyes, the rat came closer and my dad managed to grab a super-blurry photo on his old nokia cell' before he and his colleague ran out of there. :v: He showed me the photo and you could really tell that the rat was big, it's too bad he lost his cellphone and picture during another job when it fell 20 levels straight into an asphalted parking lot...
this combined with hearing that some rats have acquired a taste for human blood (sure it's in russia but still) and fucking pinch your skin to lick your blood off will cause me issues to fall asleep the upcoming weeks
Rat bites aren't new [editline]30th March 2014[/editline] Passed out junkies+hungry rats=...and don't even get me started on what they do to babies
