I saw another poll which gave NDP the majority.
EKOS seems to have been pretty reliable in the past
Fuck shaw. Fucking sucks. Oh well. If other major ISPs go through with it, they'll have a riot on their hands :D
Shit. Does this mean that Canada is no longer a candidate for "emergency bailout when the US collapses"? Oh well. There's always Norway.
Seeing as I rely on shaws internet to watch netflix because I don't own cable tv or satellite, i'm pretty fucked if this goes through. That and online video gaming. Fuck this scares me.
Liberal, NDP, and Green party leaders already have [editline]26th April 2011[/editline] An independent ISP would have to lease the lines from a larger one unless they had billions of dollars of capital set aside to run their own cables.
but will something actually happen...
Why can't they force everyone to vote?
rogers represent niggaz
Why can't they force everyone to vote?
Because people have the right to choose to vote :downs:
Because people have the right to choose to vote :downs:
Even if casting a ballot was mandatory you could still spoil it if you didn't want to actually vote [editline]26th April 2011[/editline]
Shit. Well that sucks. I'm with MTS which is good. Hopefully they don't try and do the same.
Well that sucks. I'm with MTS which is good. Hopefully they don't try and do the same.
Sasktel here, no bandwidth caps fortunately. Expensive and slow though.
But good news guys, the latest EKOS poll seems to show that the conservatives only have a 6% lead in support over the NDP. (Read this in the Winnipeg Free Press, you'll have to hunt it down online) If NDP's growth in support continues throughout the week those unelectable socialists might just form a minority government. They're kind of coming out of nowhere and it's great.
I doubt that the NDP will be able to make enough of a late push to knock off the Conservatives. IMO, best case scenario is a Liberal/NDP coalition with Layton in charge. Still, it would be nice to see it happen. Then my dad might quiet down about how "nobody over the age of 25 votes NDP". I actually recall seeing a poll done somewhere showing that most Canadians would support a coalition if Layton was leading it, or something to that effect. It's enough to make me wish I had a vote, but then again nobody wants the portion of the young population that is actually interested in Canadian politics to actually have a voice in what goes on. Guess I'll settle for kicking the Poilievre sign that sits on my lawn.
I actually recall seeing a poll done somewhere showing that most Canadians would support a coalition if Layton was leading it, or something to that effect.
Kind of goes to show how stupid we are Why not just vote for NDP in the first place and get them a majority
Wow fuck that. I use Shaw and it's expensive enough as of now.
I've said this in another thread, Conservative needs a majority to stay in power, otherwise the governor general will intervene when they fail as they try to pass their budget. I, however, will be voting for Liberal on May 2. (Unless I find stats saying that my riding is a closer race between the Tories and NDPs).
looks like I have to change ISP's, fuck
Stupideye, I agree. MTS better not change their plans. I talked to one of their representatives, and I was basically told "We'll let you know if anything happens" I want to keep my 15 Mb down and 2 up no cap please.
Conservative is like the biggest douche party in Canada >:(
Conservative is like the biggest douche party in Canada >:(
They sure kicked our economy out of the shitter, though... You gotta give them that.
They sure kicked our economy out of the shitter, though... You gotta give them that.
With a $13 billion surplus left from the Liberals.
Stupideye, I agree. MTS better not change their plans. This is pissing me off even more in fact because they recently lowered their caps to a measly 60 g (for the service I'm paying for at least), and it's not as if their internet service is especially fast or anything (although a huge improvement over telus). I feel like I was paying more then enough money for what I was getting, and now usage based billing? I can't even seem to think of any good alternatives for an ISP here either..
I'm voting Green, because all the other parties suck.
I'm voting Green, because all the other parties suck.
What about NDP?
Kind of goes to show how stupid we are Why not just vote for NDP in the first place and get them a majority
Polls also showed that the majority of Canadians have the NDP as their "second choice" party. Why the hell does no one trust the NDP? Also, http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/canadavotes2011/story/2011/04/26/cv-election-advance-polls.html This is an election Canadians didn't want. - Stephen Harper
What about NDP?
They were part of the group that tried to take over the government a while ago, no thanks.
I have good friends in BC. Last thing I want is for their internet to get fucked. Good luck, Canadians.
They were part of the group that tried to take over the government a while ago, no thanks.
What?
Should I vote for NDP or Liberal in the Halton (Ontario) riding? I don't want to waste a vote. Looks like more Liberals to me.
My town is basically NDP every single year so... doesn't matter who I vote for but I'll go with NDP.
